Ehhh, I dunno. I watch every game as I'm sure you do, and they definitely haven't done much the last few. Heinen has still been getting his points though. Again, this is not me saying Heinen isn't cutting it, just saying I wouldn't be shocked if Pasta goes back up there, especially with MoJo looking good on the 2nd line. All depends what happens over the next 2 weeks when Pasta is ready to come back.

The Marchand-bergy-heinen line has actually been vastly out performing the Marchand-bergy-pasta line.

Put pasta on a line with debrusk and krejci and put Johansson on his natural left wing side next to coyle and cehlarik

I'm honestly gonna be so annoyed if Pasta goes back on that line when he gets back. 100% agree he should be with Krejci.

They got two tonight which was good to see. Definitely was a bit of a lull. I'm not against keeping Heinen up there and the awesome thing is Butch has soooooo many options. We are dangerous.

I would start pasta back on the third line. Let him get his legs and then move him up the lineup when situationally needed. It is nice to have options for a change. Coyle has changed the look of that third line. The puck possession is tilting the ice and allowing the Bruins to sustain momentum. Small sample size, but Coyle and Backes are doing fantastic board work the past few games.

I would give that line Pasta for a few games in the regular season. Let them try to build some familiarity with one another and it opens up more options for this team going into the playoffs.

No matter who ends up getting bumped to the 3rd line when Pasta returns, the question I keep asking myself is who will play the other side?

Can Backes get his game up to a point where he's contributing again?
What does Stempniak have left in the tank? What can he bring?
Nordstrom? Oh man I hope not, but I could see it. He's responsible.

Then we go down to the minors; Cehlarik? Kuhlman?

What about giving Ryan Fitzgerald a look? He's a lefty but he's very smart and has a history of producing, at least moreso than Kuhlman. He can play with talent.

OT: Sucks that Bjork is hurt. If Pasta gets put on the 2nd line, a 3rd line of DeBrusk - Coyle - Bjork would be outstanding. Next year, I guess.

There has been multiple chances created by Coyle and the 3rd line that I feel like should have and would have been finished if he didn't have Nords, and more specifically, Backes as his wings. I want him on the scoresheet very badly and I'm sure its weighing on him a little bit that he's not yet, but he's playing great.

I honestly really like Kuhlman and being a right shot winger who is a 200 foot player with great speed makes him my choice, even though I know it won't happen. He may not be "skilled" per se, but his speed gets him chances, like his 1st nhl goal and he produced and fit in real well with Krech and JD in his limited time.

If I could put the lines together.

March-Bergeron-Heinen
JD-Krech-Pasta
MoJo-Coyle-Kuhlman
Kuraly-Noel-Wags
ex: Backes and Nords

That 3rd line would be a buzzsaw if you ask me. All guys plus skaters. One thing is for sure.... we've got depth, both on D and now in the forward ranks. So many different combinations you can put together up front.

With the team success we've had I can't see them introducing a new player like Stempniak or Fitzgerald outside of emergency. I think it is one of Backes, Nordstrom or Cehlarik that will fill out the third line.

Backes is simply a
Space filler on that line. Truly is a waste.

Hell baby
Pasta would go ape **** if he was put on line 3 IMO

I don’t know what opponents could do about him. They’d have nobody to match up against him.

It would be a 3rd line in name alone. When they’re successful they role the lines pretty evenly.

Pasta ain't going on the third line, but i want to see a bunch of combinations of the third line. Coyle has let that line be trusted, now he needs atleast someone who can provide offense on that line.

I went Kuhlman because of his speed/200 foot game.... if you want more offense, obviously Cehlarik would be the choice
Can`t recall the last time I felt Cehlarik was an offensive threat. Loved his first half dozen games or so back with the B`s, haven`t/didn`t really like his game since, now, might be that he was fighting an injury and this restricted him a bit.

Kuhlman clearly isn`t as naturally gifted as Cehlarik but I could see him being a guy who could create some chemistry with Coyle and he`s also a guy who showed he`s more than willing to battle for the pucks in the dirty areas which I`m still not sold Cehlarik is. Either way, once Pasta returns we should be all but guaranteed that, at bare minimum Coyle will be given one winger with some skill which is more than he has now

honestly, if we're getting the Backes from last night, I go with him on the other wing.

I agree with everything you said but I think I would switch JD and Mojo. The chemistry between Krejci and Mojo has been amazing to watch. And I think the speed of DeBrusk and Kuhman on the same line would be dangerous.

played well for sure, if the playoff picture is bright and clear prior to the end of the season, I tell Backes that he`s resting for the last few games in order to be 100% fresh and ready for the post season.

I hear what you’re saying but they signed Stempniak, they’re going to play him at some point. They played Gionta last year.

Fitzgerald, I think, is much more of a longshot, which is a shame because he’s played well enough to have earned a look.

put him in vs the Devils, give Backes or Nordy some rest

Yeah, it would be great if he could find his A game consistently and start producing. I think his teammates would all be excited about that too. Seems to be universally loved and respected.

I respect all the guy has done, just hasn`t been able to maintain health with the B`s which really is no fault of his own and IMO, I go to him and discuss seriously limiting his playing time down the stretch letting him know they want him to be ready for the playoffs. Back to back games if the B`s have any, ask him to pick his poison as to which game he wants to watch from above

I think he’s played his best hockey recently. Some good hits, solid scoring chances. He’s been much better that Nordstrom. If he keeps this level of play up I think he should play more to build chemistry with Coyle.

I’d like to see Cehlarik on Coyles LW though.
