The team flew Geekies family in for the game at the last minute. That's pretty awesome, and even cooler to bring them all down for the post game interview

The CBA actually requires that teams fly in the parents if possible for a player's first game, but nice of them to bring the rest of the family too.

One thing that I will say about our FO is that even when trading prospects, they haven't actually let any of them go to waste in any way. They've mostly dealt these guys at peak value relative to where they were drafted, and have gotten useful win-now pieces in return. For all of the talk about prospect hoarding and lack of promotions in Charlotte, many of those guys are now actually getting NHL opportunities with teams that have a hell of a lot less depth than we do.
