5. Brian Pinho

C, St. John’s Prep (HS-Mass.), 6-1, 175 (North Andover, Mass.)

The area’s top draft dark horse: brings talent, character, leadership to the table.

His coach, a former player at St. John's and UNH, credits Pinho with leading the team's success. "Brian has been the driving force behind our success the past two seasons," said Hanson.

Pinho is a player that can stick handle in traffic and find open teammates when the opposition puts the pressure on him. "His ability to hold onto the puck in traffic and vision on the ice make him invaluable. He led our power play in addition to centering our top line," said Hanson.

Personally, I am a fan of NCAA prospects. Free time to develop, more finished product by the time they are in the system. If you don;t see guys who project to help in 2-3 years, it is a good option.

Tolchinsky would be a neat little pick. Boom/bust and maybe nothing more than an organizational guy but that has it's worth for a few years.

Surprised that Chase hasn't gone either but I guess that's due to skating as well.

Sanford says in his interview that he considers himself a center. He played LW in the first half of last year due to the new league and switched to center in the second half and took off.

Are teams highly valuing their 7th round picks or something?

If you aren't going to sign Ribeiro, trade his rights to Toronto. Wallmark + Tolchinsky.

glad to see some of these guys are going to the USHL instead of jumping straight to the NCAA where they might not get a lot of playing time
