Pasta just won the Rocket and is under paid like 4 mil AND is also 4 years younger and you suggest trading him? Good god....

Look, its half in jest but watching Hedman DOMINATE
they need another elite d man to put McAvoy on the
2RD pair. Only guy that is out there is AP. In addition
who do you think Pastrnak is going to see 5/5 against
TB?

Pastrnak is the only asset you can move and replace
by signing Hall and have the $$$ to also sign AP.
You can't move Rask, Bergeron or Marchand and Krejci
gives you the depth down the middle.

DeBrusk and Pastrnak for the #3 pick in the draft
and Brady Tkachuk.
So you want the Bruins to give up around 65 goals a year and one guy who is signed for three years more and Tkachuk for two more and carries the highest salary of the three. yeah lets do that and make the Flames better ouch !!

Ottawa wouldn’t do you trade either. They’re just starting their rebuild so it wouldn’t make sense. They don’t have a Bergeron or Marchand. They would still miss the playoffs.

Bruins management would be smart to do something like that if they could. Get a stud guy on an entry level contract plus a pick who can step in immediately. Then use that extra cash to get free agent forwards. They’d be better. As much as losing Pastrnak would suck. But you get a Byfield or Stutzle along with Tkachuk, then add Hall and Hoffman, you’ve got 3 big lines. But it’s a waste of time talking about it.

Absolutely. Why keep a 23 year old 50 goal scorer when you can get the mystery box and sign a 25-30 goal scorer for more money into their mid-late 30s?

DeBrusk is certainly an odd name to pop up as being "shopped". What exactly would the reason for that be? Seems like keeping a good young winger would be the more standard thing to do...

Maybe it's possible the Bruins go after Hall, big upgrade on that same position and not paying Debrusk means more cap room to get things done.

Picks and prospect can always be flipped for something else.

Can they though? Pete Chiarelli thought the same thing in 2014-15 when he flipped Boychuk for a couple 2nd rounders, chased a scoring RW for the whole season, only to end up with Brett Connolly at the deadline.

Sweeney tried the same thing at the 2015 draft, acquiring a pile of picks and prospects for Lucic and Hamilton with the intention of moving up in the draft into the Top 10. But it didn't happen. The whole "make a move to make another move" isn't as easy as some think.

No reason to trade him unless he requested one. could be a strong arm move to get him to sign for less than his worth

Wouldn't be surprised if Rask requested a trade and is moved also. Bruins fans torched him for no good reason.
I don’t think Rask reads hf so it’s fine lol

Virtanen Straight up for him. one for one. A change for Jake on a team where hockey is not so focused as much.
We also get a change with a different player.

LOL Edmonton fans wanting him because he's from Edmonton.
