It makes no sense for Andersson to play in the AHL this year. He won't get nearly the TOI he needs.

Moncton should be great for his development.

Logistics aside, I just don’t think he’s ready for the AHL. Moncton is a good choice though.

Can't wait I will get to see Anderson live, will give some updates here. I won't be able to make the game Wednesday against Cape-Breton, but they play Friday and Sunday at home as well, so should get to see him by then I would think.

The 19-year-old from Järna, Sweden will be a welcomed addition to the Wildcats blueline following the loss of Jonathan Aspirot, as the club was in need of some veteran presence on the backend.

“Axel is a great addition to our defense core, said Wildcats Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, John Torchetti. “He is a solid two-way player who can make a good first pass to exit out of our zone.
