I think he will retire before signing a two way contract
At 4.5 he was a risk at 1M he is not. He will be given the chance to make the team. He is a good guy and his expectation is a bottom pair defender. The signing is fine.
I dont believe this rumour for a second. The dudes wrists are shot. His wife opens the pickle jars for him at home and people in here expect him to play bottom 6-7 NHL minutes its NOT HAPPENING. Great career tho alzner used to be that guy but he cannot hang anymore
Welcome to Sweeneys scrap yard...........
Alzner should retire from hockey. If he couldn't make it work in the Habs Zone-D system then he can't make it in any system. That dog won't hunt.
I wouldn't be shocked at all if he looks decent with the bruins, i'm assuming if this happens it would be for 700k.
Would he be Boston's number 7, or even more ideally number 8 ? Then it's not terrible.
If he's a regular, then are they trying to tank ?
League minimum to play spot duty As number 7. Should be ok move
Joe HACKerty is not a reliable source....unless it's about the concession stand food lol.
The pickle jar story came out prior to the Canadiens signing him lol
Hey Sweeney your not Belichick.
As a Leafs fan, I fully endorse this.
I mean he’d be playing in Providence unless there was an absolute disaster, don’t get so excited Habs and Leafs fans lol
im well aware lol. Embarassing stuff by our pro scouts
If by 8, you mean 10 or 11, I agree.
He shouldn't be a regular top 6 D in the NHL, but he's a classy teammate and was great in the AHL with the Habs' young guys.
If he signs for close to league minimum to be like an 8th to 10th D its not terrible, with a condensed schedule teams will likely be going through a lot of D this year.
What is Boston doing this offseason ? Tanking ? at least wait another year for Matthew Savoie !
Is the pickle jar a true verified story
Good thing you don't make sandwiches in the NHL
