Uh yes it is. Like I said in my post we had no need to save cap or money, he was a burden to our team. He was refused to be called up even with multiple injuries, and the players I listed were chosen instead. I'm assuming you don't watch any Montreal games, because Karl Alzner is clearly not NHL caliber any more, even on a bottom pairing. He isn't even doing good in the AHL.
At 4.5 he was a risk at 1M he is not. He will be given the chance to make the team. He is a good guy and his expectation is a bottom pair defender. The signing is fine.

I dont believe this rumour for a second. The dudes wrists are shot. His wife opens the pickle jars for him at home and people in here expect him to play bottom 6-7 NHL minutes its NOT HAPPENING. Great career tho alzner used to be that guy but he cannot hang anymore

Alzner should retire from hockey. If he couldn't make it work in the Habs Zone-D system then he can't make it in any system. That dog won't hunt.

I wouldn't be shocked at all if he looks decent with the bruins, i'm assuming if this happens it would be for 700k.

Would he be Boston's number 7, or even more ideally number 8 ? Then it's not terrible.

If he's a regular, then are they trying to tank ?

Hell baby
I mean he’d be playing in Providence unless there was an absolute disaster, don’t get so excited Habs and Leafs fans lol

He shouldn't be a regular top 6 D in the NHL, but he's a classy teammate and was great in the AHL with the Habs' young guys.

If he signs for close to league minimum to be like an 8th to 10th D its not terrible, with a condensed schedule teams will likely be going through a lot of D this year.
