Bruins strike first by red hot Peter Cehlarik!

It's Peter Cehlarik with his fifth goal in just his fifth game this season!

Bridgeport escapes the first down 1-0. Shots were 13-8 Providence.
Providence the way better team in the first period!

Coreau still with the St. Louis Blues goalie mask from last year with Blue notes on the side.
Koivula with a great shot, but saved.

Aho off the post!

Break by Providence Bruins in person of Cameron Hughes... it's 2-0 Bruins. :(
As the penalties expire, Bruins clear to Hughes, joined by Carey out of the box on a two-on-one. Hughes, stopped on a partial break on the four-on-four, scores. 2-0 Bruins, 6:19 second.

Is Coreau as bad as it seems or is it just the team in front of him?
The defensive play in front of him is not any good, but he also did not inject any confidence in him in me, looks not confident in my eyes.

I have to wonder about the wisdom behind a three-player rotation, when one of your potential major-league goalies has barely played in recent history.

Simon Holmstrom with a great move and pass to Bellows, gets slashed over his hands on the play. Sound Tigers to the powerplay.

The three-player goalie rotations serve no one really well. It is hampering especially Soderstrom in development, especially I can not see the upside in Coreau. he's just big not much more...

Providence makes it 3-0 on the PP.
Lantosi one-timer from the top of the left circle from Petrovic with McDonald in the box for a slash. It's 3-0 Providence after two. o_O

First fight of the night Helgeson vs Woods... throwing some rights after a not called high stick infraction on Quenneville.

1st of 12 meetings goes to Providence B's.
Providence 4, Bridgeport 0, final. Shots 33-29. Neither felt that close.
