No way Chris Bourque is an extra, or Holmstrom, who has a long standing consecutive game streak going. Kosorenkov is still hurt and on defense there is vet Chris Casto.

They are pretty stacked

Was looking forward to having Fritz down there. Lorito is hurt too. If they had those two playing it would be more exciting. Having Kovar down should help for center which is weak IMO. Plenty of finishers and not enough playmakers. That's my only concern. Defense is deep and goaltending is experienced.

I will be shocked if Kubiak isn't here in Worcester.

A lot can be learned and achieved by having a highly competitive AHL team with many of your own picks playing a top 9 role, but not having to carry the team.

Looking at THIS season's opening day BPort roster as opposed to last season's opening day BPort roster is already one of the most endearing and clear-cut differences between current and past management.

Per Mike Fornabaio's blog, still no Jan Kovar. Did he refuse to report?

Also, Kyle Burroughs and Ben Holmstrom will be "co-captains" with Helgeson and Bernier wearing the "A's "

If he doesn't report is the contract just voided?

The $2 mill cap just goes away?

I think the bridgeport team is going to be the best team they've had basically in their existence.

It's def good to have a minor league team that has a winning culture. It's certainly not be all-end-all when it comes to organizational success, but it certainly helps to instill a winning mentality for the younger guys coming up.

Fair move to Kovar, hope he sticks around to see it out and has some patience, it's not ideal but the pay is good to see through. If it's a month and a half and there's no progress, move on and no hard feelings. But I would be disappointed if he left now without seeing it through.

i know i am forever the optimist, lol, so this is how i see it.

L&T told him to just relax, until they can open up a spot for him. they know he shouldn't be riding buses. rather than risk losing a player from waivers, they will make a small trade soon. i hope.
