Does Timashov fail the analytics test or something? He seems pretty effective based on the eye test whenever he gets a chance to play. Good physicality for a smallish player, good puck skills.
I don’t think it is that the team is unhappy with Timashov. When healthy we have too many forwards and he is probably the odd man out.
His availability could even have changed with the recent injuries.

Harpur is a pending UFA that is unlikely to sign with a Leafs team that won't use him.

Timashov could be exposed to waivers if and when the Leafs' injury bug stops.

Bracco is an undersized offensive player with three goals before Christmas in the AHL.

The Leafs are just weeding the garden here.

Im actually surprised they havent given Harpur a shot, right now would be perfect timing with Muzzin out, instead of Marincin hanging around. I doubt Harpur has much value at all.

I wish we could give Bracco a shot but with Marner-Nylander-Kapanen all locked up it makes no sense to keep him around in the minors, so moving him while he still has value makes sense.

Timo is not a guy I want moved but in the right deal i would pull the trigger. It looks as though Engvall has surpassed him and with a full healthy roster he is our 5th LW at best with Johnsson/Hyman/Mikheyev/Engvall

I doubt they just dump Timo, I expect he would be a piece in a larger deal.
Are we not forgetting Moore as well

I was wondering the same. He’s feisty and can play. I doubt he brings back something worth more than the role he currently plays. If the return is good why not. Bracco should be traded/packaged I agree for sure. Harpur seems odd to even have on the block unless it’s an AHL trade

Moore is another guy I’d look to trade with the emergence of Engval. He’d be worth more too. Engval is actually even almost making Johnsson expandable
Engval looks like a keeper. Can skate, hit, good D awareness despite that bad pass on the Rangers 2nd goal last night.

Very surprised if Timashov would be on the block. A lot of teams should be interested in him in that case.

lol never ! Grundy going to be a fan favorite and great player for us . Probably go down as one of the best trades in Kings history when it’s all said and done . Next year he will be full time on the Kings
He will be a player for sure. I don't think he will touch the Gretzky, Dionne or Carter trades though.

Harpur will be an RFA if qualified.

Pay for a couple of pizzas and his plane ticket and you can have Harpur.

I really thought that the Leafs would have tried out Bracco in the NHL before moving him. If he can produce in the NHL then he’ll have some value as a decent depth scorer and PP specialist, but if he can’t then he’s Europe bound. Before he proves it in the NHL I’d have though he had almost no value. Maybe they’re getting decent offers on him or maybe they’re really just ready to cut ties before giving him that cup of coffee. No idea what I’d expect in a trade, I always saw him as the decent but nameless prospect in a bigger deal.

Surprised that Timashov is on the block. Guy is an NHL’er and dirt cheap. He could be the odd man out when we’re healthy, but that’s just not happening this year. He’s probably worth a 4th or whatever, but it would be a waste to give away depth for that at anything other than the last possible second.

Ah, yes. The annual "The Leafs are so loaded that even our AHL'ers are elite thread". Where we have to listen to fans telling us that Carter Ashton, Peter Holland, Josh Leivo, Jerry D'amigo, TJ Brennan, Tyler Biggs, Sam Carrick, Matt Frattin, Jesse Blacker, Brendan Leipsic, Nikita Soshnikov, Calle Rosen, Garret Sparkes and Mark Arcobello are the star players every other NHL team need, yet they aren't good enough for the Leafs.

I don't see anyone trading anything of value for Harpur or Timashov, and I don't think Bracco has all that much value. I feel like players of this caliber are thrown on the block all of the time, and Friedman is only mentioning them because they're in the Leafs organization.

Agreed, this posts title should be "Unwanted depth players for sale"
