Watching this in slow motion, can anyone offer up a reason Tkachuk's waits until the very second Wheeler skates by to lift his right elbow? If his focus is playing/protecting the puck, there's no need for this action.

It's ingrained in his game to take every little inch he can get away with.

The filthy little f*** knows exactly what he's doing.

Having been that kind of player, I 100% agree. Watch either around the crease. A nudge can send them flying on to the goalie. There are lots of ways to infuriate the opponent that are on the edges of the rules. It is why I laugh when players DO get caught throwing a cheap shot and their fans argue there was no intent. These guys are highly skilled professional athletes. They are aware of what they are doing.

Our bottom 6 is made up entirely of natural centers. Connor and Ehlers are the only two players in the lineup now that aren't with Wheeler out.

Seems like Maurice is going to keep one of Stastny or dubois on the wing. I brought it up in the other thread, CSE and PLA have been two of our strongest lines this year.

I would have liked to see Appleton on the 2nd. Move MP to Apple's spot and Harkins in for Perreault.

But lets see what Copp can do on RW. We already know he can play LW & C.

The only players we have in our top 13 who did not start their pro careers as C's are KFC and Ehlers. And Wheeler, who became a C when he was 32.

Dirty AF. Looking at the angle from the end boards at 0:07 Tkachuk sees Wheeler and his positioning on the ice, Kronwall-spins backwards but makes sure to keep his right elbow high, plus a little jump-at-impact. Dirty AF. Tkachuk needs to get tuned up, and better than what happened when he fought Weber on Saturday. If not this year, take his number for next year.

Based on their recent play I'd leave Copp on his line and move Matty up and Harkins or whoever on the 4th.

Lab rat-poodle crooks should be suspended as long as Wheeler is out, all intentional injuries should have consequences! NHL is a gutless league where only the superstars are protected so nothing will happen!
