I don't think he had a letter last year. It was Bozak, Rielly, and Leo. People only got them when either Leo was benched or the others were injured.

Matthews has a little bit of growing up. We have plenty of time to give the C later on in his career.

Rielly's up there in terms of tenure as a Leaf. Tavares has experience being captain. In a way, I'm even more convinced now that Matthews will be the next captain.

The anger that some people here show towards what is happening on the main board is mystifying to me. Why does anyone care what is being said by non-Leaf fans? As to M/T/R getting the A on their jersey's, wasn't it Marleau who gave the 'speech' that turned things around last year (and adopting Marner and Matthews), hasn't JT earned his stripes as a well respected C and member of Team Canada and didn't Rielly become 'the voice' of the Leafs after almost every game last season? Not exactly Larry, Curly and Moe.
