That sounds really slow.
I think you would have to cap the # of teams at 8, maybe 10, to make it workable.

If your pick is stolen, you automatically are moved to the end of that round and pick when it's your turn there.
That way there is no waiting.

B steals A's pick, so A goes to the end.
Then C steals B's pick. So...
C - has A's pick (locked in cuz stolen twice)
D - is on the clock

You'd have to present the stats that make your argument and let the readers be the judge, just like any other piece of information.Shouldn't we be taking advanced stats into account and not just award and AS finishes? A guy like Price would have a more accurate legacy if you did that, no?
Also, goaltending in the past was DEFINITELY not at the same level, but simply adjusting within the era does not really level that out, so current players like McDavid aren't really getting evaluated properly in the VsX, no?
I believe this is what the man on the ground says in the video for Radiohead's "Just".We all know McDavid is ****.
5 years is ****'n ****.
Lol. Don't forget what happens when he tells the truth.I believe this is what the man on the ground says in the video for Radiohead's "Just".
The Edmonton Oilers board has an ATD going on.
Doug Harvey is 22nd.
Bobby Hull is undrafted.
Seriously.

Maybe my least favourite thing about 2012-onward hockey discourse is the construction "the advanced stats say", because it doesn't mean much of anything at all, and can be used to put a numerical sheen on fuzzy reputation-based arguments, or just outright lie if you want to.
Everyone here understands GAA, Sv%, Wins and Shutouts as they relate to judging a goaltender. I don't think everyone here understands Goals Saved Above Expected, Quality Start Percentage, or any cooked up WAR formula out there. But I think most of us are smart enough to follow an argument based on those things if your terms are defined and your conclusions follow logically.
Without getting into it, I don't think the majority of the math wonks that pop up on my Twitter timeline buy into Price's reputation that much. But absent any actual metrics for me to present you with, that's no better than "the stats say".
The common thread between numbers-based research and quote-based research is that you have to do the work and present specifics, one way or another.

Well, seeing as how Bobby Hull-build teams are routinely taken out and shot around here...The Edmonton Oilers board has an ATD going on.
Doug Harvey is 22nd.
Bobby Hull is undrafted.
Seriously.

Peak 5 years? It seems like they're basing it all off peak which might help explain something....but not most of it
Found this footage of Morenz tripping someone from a movie:
What are the different eras in hockey? 1893-1918? 1918-? 1942-67? 67-80? What?
If I had to take a stab
1983 - 1909 - The Amateur Era, 1909 marks the NHA the first "high level" professional league
1909 - 1926 - The Split League Era
1926 - 1942 - Consolidation
1942 - 1967 - The Original Six
1967 - 1994 - The expansion era
1995 - 2005 - The Dead Puck Era
2005 - 2020 - The Modern Era
