Pettersson (may have spelled that wrong) is insane. Dude is evolving so quickly. There is simply no excuse for guys like Marner and Matthews not to rapidly improve when a guy like EP is better than both of them defensively and had to adapt to smaller ice right away coming from Europe. I don't like Canucks fans all that much, but it's hard to dislike EP. Supremely talented.

Wait till Petersson is making 10.8+... maybe then he wont work so hard. ;)

Montreal wins it in OT. They now have more wins then us. A good coach can do that.

Garret Sparks is such an enigma.
1.80 GAA and .946 SV% for the Chicago Wolves.
It’s early but he’s showing again that he is the Hasek of the AHL.
He was okay in his only NHL appearance but let in a classic confidence eroding Sparks behind the net shot special. His other goal against that game was a beauty shot from the slot where Sparks showed he has made positioning improvement at the very least.

Habs fans hate Julien. They say the same things about him that we as anout babs. There players are simply working harder than ours are right now. They don't have much top end talent ( probably domi, Weber, and maybe price) but they work well as a unit. It is early but they have been better than us and seem poised for a wildcard spot. Pur players need to match intensity and structure of opposing team players)

What a surprise. Somebody criticizes another team, you come in with the "leafs are a terrible" and the "others are still better".

The other teams are not perfect. You should try to think about that.

Leafs have 13 stanley cups. A lot more then the Lightning do.

What's not a surprise is that my shadow (stalker) appears again when I make a post. Leaf's Cup wins were 52 years ago or greater prior to expansion when there was just 6 teams.

I also find it puzzling for someone to dislike Babcock as a coach, and then call Julien a good one with the same breath. They are cut from the same coaching cloth in alot of ways.

I'd add Gallagher to the top end list. It's usually not pretty, but the end result is a puck hound who scores 30 something goals, with a level of energy that his opponents have a tough time matching. He's as important as anyone on the club.

If the habs want a playoff spot, there's lots of defensive gaffes, and a dismal PK to shore up.

Trotz is a good coach

I don't think the Islanders have as much talent on the ice, and so a coach has to lead the way.

Now, these aren't young teams, but recent success.

His goalies seem to do well.

Each and every one happened during a time when the nhl more resembled a local college JV league than a real professional league. 5 opponents and two rounds of playoffs isn’t a real championship. I mean I don’t ever suggest not taking them into account for our history, but context is also key.

Oh my, the Sens will end up with 2 very high picks this draft. Even with all the drama they went through, they will be back before we want them to.

Draisaitl with overtime winner, now with 4 GWG.

Great contract.

Great player. The Oilers big 2 are better than the Leafs big 3. The Oilers are heading in the right direction. The same can be said of the Canucks. The Flames and Jets are harder to judge.

Yup, not sure about the Flames’ asset management. And man I thought the Jets were on the right path but their D just EXPLODED. Still not sure about the Oil. I love their top 2 but it’s a lot to ask for 2 players to carry a team for 100 games a year..
