Amazing how things just miraculously fall into place for Lou. That man might be the best GM in "mess" situations. He may not be a great GM trying to rebuild slowly but can't think of many other GMs that can deal with an organisation in chaos as well as Lou. He would fix that mess in Ottawa in 6 months tops. I wouldn't be shocked if by this time next year Ladd's contract is no longer on the Isles' books.

So Calgary does NOT have a pick in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd rounds? Is this a result solely of the Hamonic trade or that and another one? That's pretty much a disaster for the year.

They lost their 3rd rounder in the Mike Smith trade. But yes, no picks in the first three rounds this year. Yikes.

1st and 2nd gone in the Hamonic deal, 3rd gone in acquiring Smith. Nothing wrong with the latter, but boy, did the Hamonic deal bite them.

Also, I still have no answer to why Calgary did not make the playoffs this year.

The Hamonic trade was truly awful. Mike Smith was good for them up until the last month or so when the whole team decided to stop giving a shit . The team had a bad year, IMO need to move one of their Dmen (prospects or roster player) for a top 6 F

Hamonic is supposedly on the market, buyer beware he's not that good and Calgary has to regretting that trade, the Jets if you believe the past rumours dodged a bullet.

Rasmus Andersson from Calgary please. They need depth scoring so I think Armia for Andersson would be very good for both teams.

On second thought I think the reason their is talk of moving Hamilton or Hammer is they probably think Andersson is ready to go.

So we have Skinner, Pacioretty, Severson, Simmonds, Grubauer, and literally every single Senators player except Cody Ceci. Gonna be a fun few hours.
