I see people chattering on twitter about a deal around Simmonds + Mez for Hemsky + picks. I've kind of soured on Simmonds, but that's not a very good deal.

That's probably just fan speculation though, so don't put too much stock into it.

If it's done to just move his caphit ($5M...lol) with a much lower caphit(say Yakupov and his $925k salary) in a deal with the Flyers sending out salary close to Hemsky's I wouldn't have too much of an issue.

Them moving Smid makes me think a defenseman is going that way. I fully expect a deal gets made tonight. It would literally disgust me if its something like Hemsky + pick (unless 1st) for Simmonds + Mezsaros, though it would not surprise me.
