Post-Game Talk: A frustrating game

I’m probably in the minority here but I liked their game for the most part. I didn’t like the unnecessary panic level that resulted in mistakes but they controlled a lot of this game and the bounces weren’t going.

Glad that we have a bottom 6 that won't hit, fight or score. It's amazing that PK specialists Janmark and Brown have 1,000,000 chances yet a guy like Gagner that could really boost our 2nd PP unit is a constant HS. Braindead move changing the D pairings the last game and continuing it for much of tonight.

Yah, those defence pairings are not working. At least we had some success with them the way they were before. Get them back as they were!

Not hard to get in lanes when the opposition treats shooting as a last resort and dusts every single puck off.

Did anyone notice Foegele at all? I swear he goes completely MIA when we play physical opponents. Not enough fight in our team tonight. We are still too soft as a team and have too many guys that couldn't score with a hooker even with a pocket full of $100's.

Yup, this why Foegele got traded in the first place, is his inconsistency. It's why he sat some playoff games. If he asks for more than the usual alloted bump this summer, he can f*** off.

Sometimes getting humiliated by your bitter rival can be a good wake up call. Or getting shutout by an AHL calibre goalie. Need to be way better for this next stretch of tough games. Btw, these games are basically unwatchable with this PBP crew. Worst I’ve ever seen or heard in my life.

Been two years since he's scored a goal and we just keep playing him. For some reason. 60 NHL games without a goal. That would be a disaster stat even for a D except we have Ceci.

We got enough paper weights on this club along with Ryan who with due respect is just past it has little left.

if anything this stint of games is showing management we are not set.

McDavid sucked. They played like they were hungover. Second line was decent…everyone else was ass. Gagner better draw in next game.

The McLeod/Foegele/Holloway line has done absolutely nothing since they were put together. Time to get Gags in there and sit Holloway. He doesn't kill penalties or play PP, and is generating absolutely nothing, so let's get some offence in there.

Yeh I agree it’s time to get Gags back in. Dunno if it’ll be for Holloway.. maybe Janmark. But we need some scoring talent in our bottom 6. Someone needs to make those plays the rest of the guys don’t think of.

Actually Holloway deserves to sit for the offsides alone tonight. I still wish we’d give the rookie some rope though.

We’ve been winning in spite of some poor efforts and poor execution. Probably a good thing in the big picture for this group to be reminded that coasting into games will not win you games.

100%. This is who he is. You don't go give him a large raise. Small bump or hit the road

Holloway and Foegele were MIA. The difference is that 1 is a rookie and that he was playing well with McLeod prior to Foegele joining them on that line. Keep Holloway playing and sit one of Brown or Janmark to insert Gagner. Gagner has shown some chemistry with Ryan, why not go back to that well? Call up Lavoie too while we're at it.

Next to no offence in the three games since the break, not to mention the struggles scoring in several games before that. Now 2 losses in 3. The lineup needs some changes. Now is as good a time as any to take Brown out of the lineup. Put Gagner in if he’s healthy enough or call up a forward.

McDavid always has fire. It's a lot of the rest of them

Mikey could take his glove off and slap nuge in the face a few times and nuge probably wouldn't even get that angry.

You need every guy to want to battle till the end. Race hard to board battles, etc

I can't stand them, but you have to play the way Vancouver third line plays. Like guys who have been threatened every game they will be scratched
