Kinda fitting to see our chances this season end on two power play goals against, a poor coaching decision and a shortie against.

Spurred on by Hart, they made a little run, but that kind of run is not sustainable over half a season. The young players made significant steps, but they still need better coaching, a solid backup for Hart, and away we go.

I'm with Larry on this. The future actually looks bright, but Fletch has to make some decisive moves, especially with the coaches.

HAGG WATCH CONCLUSION:

Total shifts: 19 (4 abbreviated shifts were combined into 2 shifts total)
  • 7 mistake free shifts (37%)
    • 3 uneventful shifts where "nothing happened".
    • 3 good shifts
    • 1 shift where he giveth and taketh away, where I generously cancelled the good and bad into "mistake free"
  • 12 shifts (63%) featuring mistakes which negatively impacted the team to some magnitude
If my tally is accurate, in all but 6 shifts a scoring chance against was given up. 13 in total.

Meanwhile, Ghost was in a suit

I haven't said it too much because I haven't been around too much because I stopped watching a long while ago. However, I still maintain Gordon is every bit as bad as Hak, possibly even worse, he's just got the shine of a new coach following a dramatic firing of the old one. Which means his schtick hadn't grown tired and old on the team or the fans yet and there was the standard post-firing/hiring uptick in performance that inevitably regresses to the mean.

We are so, so in for a repeat of this year next year if they keep Gordon on or continue fumbling the hire.

I'd argue we'd be an even worse position if they keep Gordon.

It would mean that Fletcher is equally as bad with coaching as Hextall, while also being worse at drafting/trading.

They f***ing sat Ghost? This team is run by f***ing idiots from top to bottom. Sit f***ing Hogg, Morin is here.

This is still the team that glues TK to the bottom line to give Weise more playing time. As long as we are that team we do not win a Cup.

Potential to be a top 4 team in the east with Carter Hart

Not even a playoff team with current coach
