More then the hivemind here with the whole "let's the kids play" Bad News Bears mantra chants.

Which one of you is Kelly Leeke?

Still haven't answered the question. I mean, it's obvious you don't hockey. But if you do, maybe you'll put some of that hard earned streamer money where your mouth is? How about $1000 to the winner of a shooting accuracy contest between us? I mean, you don't even have to be able to skate. Just shoot a puck. You game?

You would lose.

Bad.

No thanks. I don't need your money. :D

Because Bovqist didn't not belong in the NHL and was only there because of injuries?
He then showed he did belong even though he will have some struggles and after the trade of Gus he became the main offensive Dman threat especially for the PP. You still want to score and have players in offensive roles even in the playoffs.

To your old point. Yeah its possible Boqvist only plays 3rd pairing minutes, but those minutes will likely be with Keith. Then Keith will have those other tougher matchup shifts at times. But thats still a lineup you'd call

Smith Carpenter Kampf (Nylander instead of Kampf if Shaw healthy)

Keith Mitchell/Kookoo
DeHaan Murphy
Maatta Boqvist

Yeah the kids already proven he’s not gonna back up his word, he’s just here troll. He’s just trying to get attention. Stop giving it to him and I guarantee he goes away on his own no matter who the hawks draft.

For the play-offs, i want a strong bottom 6, that can shut down the opponent's best players.
+ Get important penalties for opponent, ergo PP
I'd put Toews to 3rd line position, to shutdown role.

Bottom 6:

Saad(L)-Toews(L)-Shaw(R)*
Smith(L)-Carpenter(R)-Kämpf(L)

*if healthy

Top 6:

DeBrincat(R)-Strome(L)-Kane(L)
Caggiula(L)-Dach(R)-Kubalik(L)

D-pairing's, always a tricky dicky thing to put together,
its the play-offs, i'd focus more on defensive side
- i would trust to experience, i can't make any pairings thou at the moment

Instead of going for your usual suspect; Crawford, i'd choose Kevin Lankinen instead
as the starting goalie position for the play-offs. As a goalie that not many are custom'd with,
i think he could get a huge advantage due to that fact, like he had advantage in the 2019 World Championships. - very similar situation

I'm super confident about Hawks chances, if the coaching staff gets the correct line combos and correct players on the ice. - lots of play-off performers, especially forwards.

Kane NHL career play-offs: 50+73=123 (0.98 ppg)
Toews NHL career play-offs: 40+70=110 (0.86 ppg)
Keith NHL career play-offs: 18+63=81 (0.66 ppg)
Saad NHL career play-offs: 16+21=37 (0.52 ppg)
Shaw NHL career play-offs: 16+19=35 (0.51 ppg)

DeBrincat OHL career play-offs: 30+45=75 (1.36 ppg)
Strome OHL career play-offs: 37+50=87 (1.27 ppg)
(AHL: 8 points in 9 games, 0.90 ppg)

Why not?. Hawks worst part of the game is how to defend as a 5 player unit.
Hawks need, to win, a really strong bottom 6. Because Toews happens to be the best
forward capable defending, the smartest thing to do would be putting him to a shut down role.

If Shaw is healthy, perfect wing man for Toews and Saad and Toews are good together.
The 4th line is a super obvious combo.

The top 6: obviously Strome and DeBrincat needs to play together
even a blind man can see that and Kane fits quite fine with them
yes it doesn't always, but gotta take few risks. high risk, high reward.

The 2nd line is good like that, Caggiula brings his game to the 2nd line giving Dach & Kubalik
chance to play their game.

What comes to goaltending, as good as Crow still is, its the play-offs and i don't trust him
Lankinen is one hell of a goalie and he is not some 20 year old kid, also has shown
that he can win and does not cave under pressure.

Oh. So you are.

To confirm, you want to start a guy with a 3.03 GAA and 0.909 SV% in the AHL this year over two-time Stanley Cup champion Corey Crawford. Alright alright.
