I’d prefer to keep Guenther at wing. Keep him doing what he’s good at, which is being a monster at generating offense with a killer shot. I like that his coaches have had him at center to develop his 200ft game but no way he plays center at the nhl level

I’d keep an open mind. He was extremely impressive at center and he stepped his game up a lot. It would be a mistake to count on him as a C but also a mistake to rule it out.

I would trade Guenther for Wright. But what about Cooley, Slafkovsky, Savoie or Nemec? I’m not so sure.
rt, I'm not as educated as you in this discussion, BUT isn't this just a "wash" in this trade? Aren't they basically equal? I know Wright is listed as a center, but I'd want a PROVEN center before this trade. Our luck at center makes me want to vomit. :banghead: :eek2: :help:

Is Jake in here shitting on this yet?
Nope. Very impressive. It's nice he is having a good year, BUT, I have seen better players than him fail in the NHL, and I have also see lesser talent have great success in the NHL.

Who makes this “better player” valuation?

It is starting to be evil to let the contract slide another year?

But that is the plan, right?

I would hope that's the plan. The Coyotes would be smart not to waste a cheap ELC year on another tank season, but he might be too good to send back. I hope his injury might be the excuse that gets him sent back to juniors.
