Would Benning send us Virtanen for Schmaltz? Is that something we should even consider?

Would love to sign Clifford and Richardson and trade Schmaltz for Virtanen.

Crouse-Stepan-Virtanen
Clifford-Richardson-Pitlick
Hayden

^Hell yeah.

But he has before! Lol.

I mean if we're honest the Crouse - Soderberg - Fischer line was the only thing that came close to offensive pressure this season.

If you put Pitlick on Stepan's right and give him another strong possession winger, they could probably do it away from good competition. But it can't be Crouse.

Clifford, Cousins, maybe Kahun.

Every singleOiler defensive prospect is absolutely guaranteed to be playing in their top four within two years, and probably be better than OEL while on an ELC. How is that not deep?
Man oh man. These kids haven't even played a regular shift in the NHL and you say they are going to be better than OEL? I think your crystal ball is cloudy and broken.

I think that was sarcasm based on Oiler's fans posts.

Yes! It ate minutes in the Ozone. It was the only line that did that reliably.

Crouse and Soderberg outscored Keller and Schmaltz 32-28 last season, and the first two weren't PP fixtures...

It also doesn't factor the fact that Crouse and Soda killing time wears a team's D out a lot more than Keller and Schmaltz. Nor does it factor their ability to retreive pucks from the board in their own zone or otherwise play defense.

These things matter if we care about stats like W-L more than getting Schmaltz and Keller points for our fantasy pools.

Again, no one in the farm that can help instead of these guys? I hate talking about bringing in these guys or the Richardson's of the world.

How you guys feel about Schmaltz for Virtanen?

I don't think they're looking to spend that much. I think they'd just give that to Toffoli, who is a better player in every way but age.

Needs are probably 3LW and defensive 4C

In the Coyotes price range, I like
3LW:
Leivo
Vesey
Clifford

4C:
Larsson
Soderberg
Richardson
Tucson/Trade

Soderberg could be the 3LW and Richardson the 4C.

Keller-Dvorak-Garland
Crouse-Stepan-Schmaltz
Soderberg-Hayton-Kessel
Clifford-Richardson-Pitlick
Hayden/Fischer

OEL-Goligoski
Chychrun-Hjammer
Oesterle-Demers
Lyubushkin

Kuemper
Hill

Clifford: 3yrs, 5mil (1.67aav)
Soderberg: 1yr, 1.85m
Richardson: 1yr, 1mil

Keller-Dvorak-Garland

Keller - Dvorak - Schmaltz
Garland - Hayton - Kessel (shelter)
Clifford - Stepan - Pitlick
Crouse - Richardson - Fischer (dzone)
Hayden

That's how I'd deploy them, based on their strengths and team needs.

I think Soderberg is done for the most part.
