I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t initially disappointed with these 3 picks, but at least Holtz is something to be excited about.

I hope this ends up looking better in a few years than the Bruins 2015 draft where they had 3 1st rounders and flubbed it pretty badly.

It also helps that he and Bratt know each other.

If Holtz is like a Laine ... I’m cool with that. Every team needs a trigger man on the PP and him rocking out with Hughes for the next decade is going to be fun to watch.

nico is taller and better equipped for physical battles. imo he needs less help and protection. i also assume hughes will lead the line mainly responsible for scoring, while hischier's line will be more of an all situation line.

Let him play in Sweden at a minimum this year. No point in dragging him across the pond with the uncertainty in the league right now.

Next year talk about either grooming him for a bit in the AHL and competing for a roster spot.
