Probably why the owners put into the deal to raise the minimum salary by over 20%. On a 53 man roster you have 22 starters and 3 special team key players. That’s 25 spots plus another 28 backups or situation players. 90% of that 28 are making minimal money as day 3 draft picks or Undrafted free agents or veteran minimums. League is hoping the majority will simply take the higher wages vs the fewer guys who make the big money.I’d be shocked if they accepted it.
Especially with that game 17 game cheque being capped at $250,000
I personally hope the PA declines the agreement. Seems too in favour of the NFL.
