Makiniemi stopped 24 of 25 in a 1-0 loss. Tieksola, on the other side, played about 15 minutes and his lined scored the only goal.

Honka play over 18 with an assist in a 4-3 loss. Puistola played barely 8 minutes and was -2.

Kochetkov got his first game in several weeks on 2/20 -- he had 91.9%Sv and 2.85 GAA in a 3-2 OT loss. Really hope he can get some regular playing time next season, seems he hasn't been bad but is just low on the depth chart and unable to gain any momentum/consistency when playing so little.

No minnesota hockey this weekend as Penn St is still cancelled and that was Minnesota's scheduled opponent.

He got suckered into a Hasek move. When the puck is that close to the goalie, it's damn near impossible to get it over the stacked pad/glove combo without missing the net entirely. And especially when it's already headed to the side of the net, as long as he keeps that left foot super-glued to the post it's impossible for the forward to wrap it around or pass it back to the front.

All fun and games until the forward goes around the back of the net. There's a reason Hasek was Hasek and this guy is whoever he is.

Puistola played 15:15 (high number for him) with no scoring

Blake Murray’s Surahammars (Hockeyettan, which is ECHL version of SHL) lost 4-1 and I believe their season is over. With CHLers leaving does Murray get a PTO?

Nybeck was knocked down one level and that is where he scored the 2 goals.

So what’s the deal with Puistola? Doesn’t seem like he’s coming along too well, his numbers aren’t the kind that even get you an AHL contract.

Ie: Roland McKewn signed a 1 yr deal and then went to Europe......that contract is burnt right?......only certain elc's can slide right?

Yes, they do. Only the ELCs of 18-19 year old guys can slide. McKeown is burning his contract.

(but if you sign a 19 y.o. from SHL for example and loan him back there, that Euro loaned contract would slide for that year)

He's 20 and has 12 points in 41 games on the 2nd worst team in Liiga in a year where the talent level is likely pumped up a bit due to Covid reducing jobs...lots of players his age are taking a hit in development this season. Not too worried, he was always projected to be a bit of a project

Those are all the obvious reasons we can give him from a distance but has anyone watched him play this season?

Tieksola scored on a 4 on 4 that turned into a PP where he was left open in front of the goalie. Also had an assist in 13.5 minutes

Makiniemi staying on a roll. Stopped 37 of 38 in a 4-1 win.

Killinen went -1 in 12 minutes of a 2-1 loss

honka went minus -2 in 17 minutes in a 3-1 loss. Puistola didn’t play.

he does. Unfortunately i dont watch the games to know if he has some quota he has to fill or is stopping a bunch of really good shots because his team isnt strong defensively and the probability of one going in finally catches up to him.
