Smith for me is what you want DeBrusk to be (but with better goal totals). Do you play the two together or pair Smith w/ Coyle for a solid 3rd line duo
What about the way the defense looks right now?
I wouldn’t call them overly physical. McAvoy is their most punishing hitter.I really like it. All young, fast, physical, improving and one of the best in the league in McAvoy.
McAvoy
Carlo
Gryz
Lauzon
Zboril
Chara
Clifton
Vaak
Moore
Miller
Physical is not debatable. They're not.I wouldn’t call them overly physical. McAvoy is their most punishing hitter.
Fast? Debatable.
Brassard and Granlund are still out there.
Not saying either makes them a cup favorite, but the optimist in me says that the closer we get to the start of the season, the cheaper they may become.
I’d rather either guy in the top 9 over Ritchie, Bjork, Senyshyn, etc.
Marchand, Krejci, Bergeron, Pasta, Coyle, Smith, JDB, Kase, Brassard or Granlund.
I wouldn’t call them overly physical. McAvoy is their most punishing hitter.
Fast? Debatable.
I think he will.If he doesn’t, what do you think happens?
They’re undersized and get punished in the corners, too.McAvoy fast and physical.
Carlo fast and size.
Gryz fast and skilled.
Lauzon fast and physical.
Zboril fast and physical.
Clifton fast and physical.
And all young.
Not even counting Vaak.
Bruins in great shape on D
Best line in NHL.
Top G duo.
Great F depth.
Team to beat in new division.
Lots of things have to go wrong for them not to be in top-4 after 56.
Enjoy another great Bruins season guys!
I think both JDB and Smith should be on the 3rd with Coyle as JDB sucks with Krejci.Smith for me is what you want DeBrusk to be (but with better goal totals). Do you play the two together or pair Smith w/ Coyle for a solid 3rd line duo
No PTO's yet to mention. Our old prospect Zane McIntrye is getting one with the Yotes. Crazy that he is 28 now, time flies. Camps start soon, better get guys signed or brought in soon.
I would have liked to see us take a flyer on this kid who went undrafted last year but he signed in Sweden with Vasby, oh well maybe next year. He was 6th in scoring in the OHL. Vid shows him looking like a Left Wing lighter version of Pasta.
He scored 45 goals in 63 games and had 96 pts for the Guelph Storm. Maybe Dom or even Don can chip in with first hand knowledge of how he looked in the OHL and why he went undrafted twice. IS he worth taking a gamble on him, we need scoring.
No they're not. Brassard is in Arizona and Granlund went back to Nashville
As is, I believe it will be very difficult for the Bruins to end up in the top 4 of the division.I don't mind going young but right now this team is no better than last season in a better division. They again failed to add and really don't trust DS at the deadline.
Edit: never mind, apparently
I find people are super one sided when talking about Krug. “He’s bad defensively” - I mean, sure, he’s not great defensively... but then when you bring up the offense it’s “wELl tHeY wErE mOsTly PP pOInTS!”
I think people completely undervalue the fact that he’s an elite power play guy, and makes it that much more lethal.
McAvoy is the next best d-man offensively, and then there’s an absolute cliff to the next.
Smith & Coyle give you a super third lineSmith for me is what you want DeBrusk to be (but with better goal totals). Do you play the two together or pair Smith w/ Coyle for a solid 3rd line duo
Who would you put on that line with Smith and Coyle?Smith & Coyle give you a super third line
Pastrnak drives a line - he should be on the same line with DeBrusk. These two are very tight and Pastrnak would raise DeBrusk level
My bad...was wrong about Brassard but confused Granlund with Grabner.
Smith for me is what you want DeBrusk to be (but with better goal totals). Do you play the two together or pair Smith w/ Coyle for a solid 3rd line duo
