DeSmith is 6'0"

Halak is 5'11''

Khudabin is 5'11''
Honestly at this point if he becomes a good back up even I think we should be happy and that in itself is something to get excited over. Oilers should be looking to find a long-term starter this summer and then have Ilya/Skinner/Rodrigue fighting for the back up position in the coming years. If one of them takes off an becomes a starting goalie to push out the #1 that we hopefully get this summer then even better as it will open up cap space in the future for a couple years. If you can develop your own starting goalie you usually get a couple cheaper years from them before they need to be paid.

We need some goaler prospects with more upside and with expansion our chances are golden.
Holland however will sit.

With all the talk about Konovalov I still believe Skinner is our top goalie prospect. Guys having a hell of a year.

Agreed. Skinner has a bit more size and he's already proving his worth in the AHL. Konovalev has next season to show it

Forgotten prospect time.

Has there been any stories/discussion on Räsänen and plans for him next year? He finished the season with a respectable statline (it's a lower scoring league)

Yes, but as seen by that huge save before the Marchand goal, sometimes those smaller goalies produce the best highlight reel and momentum changing saves. IMO if you're good enough at your craft it can overcome some size issues.
No doubt, but back then, there weren't a lot of 6'6" goalies. Those guys seemed to really rely on reflexes. Now, it's all about positioning. Now, every 2nd guy seems like a monster. 6'3" seems to be an average. And then they strap those enormous pads on them with a casting net for a glove (or frying pan in some cases), and it's a wonder anyone can score.

I’m kind of curious what his official height is too.

Guys like Shesterkin and Sorokin were listed at about two inches shorter on the KHL site last year than they were on the NHL site this year.
