Also, If Thornton does come he would need a new number since 19 is retired by the Stars. HAVE YOU EVEN THOUGHT THIS THROUGH, JIM???????????

Spezza wore #90 here. That would be a good guess. Seguin isn't giving up #91

If they retained, you could make it work, and I'd be all for it. I doubt you could get them to retain though.

Say ... $1.5 million. Zuccarrello at $4.5 million in Dallas would be a trade you couldn't pass up IMO. Even if it did cost a 1st which it probably should.

I know you were joking for sure, but I mean ... if they did retain, that's a player you know fits, and I can't see the NMC being a roadblock.

Guerin didn't give him that contract. I doubt he's married to the player.

Pageau signed a 6 year deal with the Isles aparently. Makes the price less bad.

That contract should be helpful for Dallas with Faksa. Makes me think that with 1 RFA year left and his lower production, if Dallas wanted to go long term, they might be able to get Faksa in the $4 million range.

Ennis to Edmonton. I thought he might be the backup plan for Dallas.

Likely Djuse wanted to leave. He's 26 and there is no path to the NHL for him on the Stars blueline.

I get that it seems like Djuse may have asked for a trade (if he didn't ... this makes even less sense), but you've hurt the Texas Stars who were already struggling to stay in the playoff race. You didn't add anything of value. That trade makes very little sense to me. You didn't honor Honka's trade request (assumption that is what facilitated this) so why hurt your developmental team and move this guy?

Obviously wasn’t expecting much, but like others said I really don’t get the Djuse trade. I mean a 6th isn’t great and leave the T Stars short

Maybe he had another deal in place with our 6th. Odd, but oh well on to the rest of the season
