Good start of the year for Keith Petruzzelli and Quinnipiac this weekend
2 Games 2 Wins 4 GA .930 SV
Goaltender Victor Brattstrom (160th-2018) 6-1-0 on the season. He's posted a 2.41 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage.
Another W for Gylander today... 24 Saves in a 6-3 Win
8 Starts... 8-0 2.87 GAA .903 SV... Not Bad
It's worth noting that Gylander plays on a dominant team scoring 5+ goals per game with the top-3 league scorers. His individual stats aren't so good but hopefully he can improve that and maybe match last year's numbers. What a hell is happening with all our goaltenders? Also Larsson did win his AHL debut.
Ässät U20 defenseman Antti Tuomisto (DET) is just too good for the junior level (he has to stay there because he’s going to NCAA). He plays huge minutes and controls the game whenever he’s on the ice. I haven’t seen a better defenseman in the league this season – not even anyone who comes close, actually. He still makes mistakes at times, especially in the defensive zone. But the way he’s in total command of the game all the time is beyond impressive
Hey Chad, any idea if Eliasson is injured? He isn't listed as 1 of the 2 goalies on Almtuna's team today.
I noticed that too and am guessing it's some last minute thing like a flu because there's no info out there. Was looking forward to a Brattström vs Eliasson battle.Hey Chad, any idea if Eliasson is injured? He isn't listed as 1 of the 2 goalies on Almtuna's team today.
I'm geeked to see our goaltending prospects performing. We haven't had much to be overly excited about in net the past 10 years.
Mrazek was pretty exciting for a while there. Disagree with that. Let's just hope our next guys find consistency a little better.
He had a lot of hype after his WJC performance, but we all knew the #1 goaltender wasn't going anywhere regardless of what he did. The scenario for these young goaltenders is different from Mrazek's.
That seems pretty revisionist. We all thought Mrazek was legit (his numbers to that point were unreal), and that he was the extremely likely number one of the future. 2 of his 3 full seasons here he played 50 or more games which was clear cut more than Howard. Everyone thought Howard was on his way out
