Rasanen 20 points in 20 games for Boston College

Good to finally see one of our forward college draft picks put up some numbers

Had a lot of hope for McPhee after his sophomore season, but not looking like anything will come of that

That line of Hardman, Newhook and Rasanen seems to be clicking.

I've been impressed by Brind'Amour too. Nothing groundbreaking, but 11 points in 22 games is better than I expected for him.

Bouchard's offence is like a right handed Pronger. It's just smart.

I love how it is. Its not a low IQ big slapshot that can get blocked, when it comes to his shot, sometimes he snaps it. It's more about accuracy then power

Two prospects in Canadian major junior hockey. That's something else.

Could we stop picking so many NCAA guys for a while? We're throwing away too many draft picks with these guys.

Cupboards are looking a little bare. We really can’t afford to trade away picks.
Are they really? We've had 4 prospects basically graduate to the big club this year in Bear, Jones, Yamamoto and now Benson. I'd say cupboards haven't been this full in a while. Not to mention Bouchard, Broberg and Samorukov. It's an exciting time to see these guys thriving.

That's taking players out of the cupboard, though, thereby emptying the cupboard.

McLeod, Lavoie, Marody, Maksimov, Rasanen, Bouchard, Samorukov, Broberg, Berglund, Konovalev, Rodrigue, Skinner...

The top end is still rather full. There won't be a shortage of prospects in Bakersfield for some time.

Yup, I really like the depth of our prospect pool. Few good forwards who look like they could fill support roles on this team going forward, couple blue chipper dmen, and a couple other good D/goalies. I can't wait to see what this team might look like in 2-3 years as the recent injection of Bear, Jones, and Yamamoto has been promising.

we’ve got guys at the AHL level who should be ready soon, but we’ve got hardly anything lower in the pipeline to start bringing in. Hardly anything at the major junior level. If we trade away picks, we’ll again be lacking there.

We've got some good D prospects, ,our forward prospect pool is nothing short of atrocious. We have numbers re goaltending so out of all of those guys only one really has to turn out to be good.

I have hope in McLeod and Lavoie could be decent. Beyond that we don't have much in the system. Maksimov could be a player but has started fairly slowly.

It's definitely the weaker part of our prospect pool. I don't think I would consider it atrocious, especially if you still consider Yamamoto a prospect.

If not Benson, McLeod, Lavoie, Maksimov and Rasanen all have projectable NHL skillsets.

I'm hopeful the team will put more of an emphasis on forwards in the CHL for the upcoming draft.

Broberg got an assist and was a +2 the other day. Now up to 5 points on the season. More than double the points that Klefbom got in his D+1 year in 2 less games.
