The pick we got from arizona has been places. Tor->NJ->WSH->CHI->ARZ

Sharks have to be one of them. I mean their team is literally only missing a 1C and they have so much cap space. I have to imagine both Sharks and Vegas are the two main teams that are in contention for him.

I really hope they now complete the obvious and trade with Buffalo to acquire Ryan O'Reilly

I heard that too, but don't see anything else happening. Must've been something slightly different. the sharks haven't been related to or involved in any of the recent picks (the next time we're even tantengially relevant is at 114 where the Coyotes pick using the first pick we just gave up in the trade to acquire the 3rd)

Sharks picked another guy. Doug Wilson is busy today.

Jasper Weatherby. Maybe the next Hertl in a decade (I really don't know, just keeping hope alive )

Sharks are doing the opposite. Their 1st round pick was great and now the other picks aren't.

Also no idea what the trade was becuase NHL network would rather continue to yammer about the same thing over and over again instead of doing their job of reporting on the draft itself.

Though at first glance the NHL.com draft board shows we at least gave up 4/123 (one of the Hoffman trade picks)

Yeah they spent 10 minutes on Tavares when the Sharks moved up and they won't tell me what the trade was.

I don't think I'm a fan of the trade especially for the guy we picked.
