Willy's a slightly better player, but he also isn't getting signed as a centre, so this is probably a good comparable. My money's on $6.5 x 6

I'd rather have Larkin than Willy to be honest. He plays a more complete game, has proven he can play the middle, and he has far more bite to his game. Willy's a quality player, but if he could be swapped for Larkin on comparable contracts I'd do that deal in a New York minute, and twice on Sunday.

6x6.25 or 7x6.5 is amazing

I’m hoping Matthews and Mitch give us a bit of a discount as well.

8x10 and 7.5x8 would be great deals.

Marner, Matthews and Nylander for 24m combined is very manageable.

Nylander/Lindholm is close to a wash. Kase is very interesting and would probably be the best option to take Nylander's minutes. Same age as Nylander/Kapanen and just had a 20G (38PTS/66GP) season with 3rd line minutes. It seems odd that he hasn't signed with them yet. We send back Gardiner and sweeteners since Gardiner only has 1 more year.

I think you can make some loose comparisons but I'm against giving a kid as talented as Nylander is 5 years

Either bridge him (and potentially **** yourself so I'm not keen on a bridge either) or sign him to 7-8 years, 6 years would be my bare minimum

Interesting idea if Gardiner has been traded for Myers. Been thinking about it for a long time and it might be a good deal, although for just one season. I don't see Toronto being able to extend him past this season without making a trade to remove salary. The same can be said about Gardiner too, but Myers might prove to be the player that Toronto needs today.

Personally i believe if Winnipeg Jets we're to make a deal it would include
Dustin Byfuglien as they need to sign some big deals next year...if hes not moved
they will loose one of:

Also they still have Morrissey left to sign.
Looking at their roster for the next few years they will need depth on defense and right wing.
