I wouldn't be surprised to see the Ducks put in a claim on Holland. Last season they brought Etem (another former 1st round pick of the Ducks) back on waivers. Not to mention Kesler is out half the season. Getzlaf isn't completely healthy either and Sam Steel was just assigned back to juniors.

Montreal Canadiens have placed LW Daniel Carr and C Peter Holland on waivers.

I’ll be surprised if Carr clears.
Maybe during the season someone could pick him to fill a hole in their lineup but most teams are looking at ways to get rid of guys now not adding to their rosters.

Do you have a source?

Rich Dhaliwal tweeted as so a while ago, just can't remember when and not really in the mood to search through all his tweets. Rodin is skating with UBC until he gets his visa. Would he be doing that if he were planning to go overseas? Probably not.

Just found this, which is more recent:

What happens if the Canucks recall him because of an injury, then when the injured player is healthy and Rodin gets sent down again, does he have to go on waivers again?

Unless he's up on emergency-recall, then he can go down without waivers when the other player comes back.
If, however, the player called up plays 10 or more games while on emergency recall he will automatically be to a regular recall, meaning they would then need to go on waivers to be sent down.

Interested to see if Coreau gets picked.

Would just go to show how ridiculous NHL teams can be. Why pick up Coreau instead of picking up Hutchinson? I don't think Coreau does get picked though unless Mike Babcock happens to see how tall Coreau is then immediately demands the Leafs pick up him up.
