Wouldn't shock me to see Mayo become a LB coach in the near future after taking some time with his family. He was basically more of a coach than a player this year, even though he did start making plays down the stretch run before being hurt.

Injuries really took a toll on him the last couple years, so it's not completely surprising. Definitely will end up on the Patriots coaching staff in some role in the near future though.

Another younger guy gone, though if i recall Mayo has been really hampered with injuries over the past couple seasons.

Saints restructured Jordan and Ellerbe, 8+ million under the cap with Brees extension and Browner cut incoming. Could be 20 or even 25 million under going into free agency. Pretty decent recovery considering they don't have very many high-dollar obligations after 2016.
