Agreed.

You can't lose to bad teams and allow 35 shots against the POS Leafs, who had won 2 of 11 prior to this.

A win against Washington will obviously undo this, but this was one of the most pathetic performances in the last month. Easily in the last month.

What a waste of a great game by Kinkaid.

35 shots but probably only 5-6 high quality chances.

Leafs were shooting from everywhere hence the inflated shot totals. A lot of them weren't good shots at all.

I just want to clarify this.

This is a team that has go 5-1-1 in their past seven right? From the comments on here it seems we lost 10 games in a row.

Because EVERY WIN....EVERY POINT is CRUCIAL to get as it will ultimately determine whether we're talking playoffs or draft when the regular season ends and quite frankly, I'M SICK AND *** TIRED OF TALKING ABOUT THE DRAFT!!

Problem is that we have more games played than almost everybody. We really needed to keep winning games to apply pressure to the teams to win the games in hand to stay even with us. Not winning this game could really come back to bite us.

We have been winning games though.

We are 5-1-1 in our past seven. We are picking up points.

Somebody give me a reason to be satisfied right now.

The fact that these points actually matter to us at this point in the season? I didn't think we'd be a bottom 3-5 team like a lot of people pegged us as, but we're still exceeding everyone's expectations. It ****ing sucks to lose to that ****ing team, I hate the leafs as much as the next guy.

But we're still in the thick of the playoff race when most would have had us done by now. It's a great sign of what the future of the team may hold.

They deserved the loss. Can't win a face off, can't hold onto to a pass as well as a guys spending half the game on their *****. Kalinin and Blandisi be the worse culprits doing a good Clarkson imitation.

That exists either way. We needed points. We got one with our back up, moved into a playoff spot plus a tie with two more teams ahead of us, and we gave Cory a chance to catch his breath and heal up his soreness.

Cory and potentially Camm come back for the tough ones coming up.

If they want to make the playoffs, they need to keep winning games. Most of the teams we are competing with have games in hand. If you want to make the playoffs, this loss is a slap in the face--a point lost that we needed in the standings. People are back to having expectations of this team, which means not blowing leads to teams like Toronto when we are in a playoff race. Inexcusable game by the team tonight.

I don't understand what happened to Blandisi there, either the skate got screwed up somehow or he just lost all control of his balance but it hurts even more since they went on to lose in a shootout.

Gelinas should be out next game in favor of Severson. No question.

Tough loss but regroup and pull off the upset win Saturday and all will be forgiven. Nobody said the road to the playoffs would be easy.

He's bambisi that's what happened

One point is better than none, but we really needed the two points.

Cory better start the next three or I'll be very mad at Hynes. (Kinkaid was good tonight, but we need to make up for not getting that second point. Cory is our best chance to do that). Cory is going to have to start playing back to backs or I don't like the chances of us being a playoff team.

You're not wrong, but we need every single point we can get to make the playoffs.

Ok, but we're not going to win every game. We're going to lose some.

The parity in this league means that no game is a guaranteed win. If we drop a game like this against a team like the Penguins, Islanders, or a team close to us in the standings, then I get the outrage. Henrique, Zajac, and Palmieri were nonexistent tonight. Cammalleri is out. The team still picked up a point, I call that a victory and move on.

Henrique is due for a breakout sometime soon. Zajac is usually good for a dominant game here or there. Palmieri has not been himself lately. I'm guessing that one of these will turn around soon and with Schneider in goal, I'm confident in this team's ability to win games.

This is an extreme view. We literally can't win them all. The goal is to keep collecting points no matter what or how. We did that, we continued to gain ground on multiple teams.

They blew the extra point. This game had to be won in regulation. Very annoying loss. They didn't play well tonight at all.

Or at least in the OT or shootout. I wouldn't have minded giving the point to Toronto from the playoff race perspective, though it would've been annoying to see them blow the lead. This was a game they had to win. They came out with a bad game and wasted Kinkaid's best play of the season, only getting a point where they could've had two.

Well, a lot of teams have multiple games in hand on us and are about even with us in points. We're at the point where we almost have to win them all if we want to stay alive in the playoff race.

I'm with you. At least have Cory start the next two and then assess for the third game.

Cammalleri was invisible tonight. I kid, I kid...
Henrique and Zajac close behind him.

Considering the above, I'll take 1 point and move along content.

He was invisible because he wasn't on the ice.

I see what you did there , but I agree. Palmieri wasn't too good either.

If we had Kinkaid from the Blues game in there, this is probably a blowout.

A blowout at the hands of one of the 2 teams that have scored fewer goals than us this season. A team that won 2 of 11 games coming into tonight.

It would be so fitting for this POS team to knock us off on the last day of the regular season, Ottawa 1996 style. And in a shootout too, where we need both points to get in.
