I wish I knew that before I sunk all my coin into his shop.:help:

I am sure most of us feel the same way.

In fact the only way I found out is by using a trainer and giving myself a ton of money to see if the payoff was worth it for the last level of upgrade since I didn't feel like grinding for the money.

A few things:

[spoil]-****ing Regis just stands idly by whilst I get my ass handed to me by a bruxa.
-The Wicked Witch fight was a pain in the ass. How people can beat her on deathmarch is beyond my ability to understand.
-I had to LOL when I found the three bears and a corpsified Goldilocks.[/spoil]

Just finished the kaer morhen battle on my newest playthrough. Forgot how epic it was. I can't imagine any game that could make me want to replay it and put a ton of time into it like this one.

Netflix doesn't have a great track record if you ask me.
They've made some really good shows. House of Cards, Narcos, Stranger Things, Last Kingdom, Jessica Jones, Daredevil etc. There is some hope that it would be on the level of those shows, rather than something like The Iron Fist.

Netflix has a very good track record IMO. That being said, when's the last time a video game was adapted into a movie or TV show and actually worked? It may be more based on the book though.

Sapkowski seems to indicate it is going to be based off of the books.

I’m thrilled that Netflix will be doing an adaptation of my stories, staying true to the source material and the themes that I have spent over thirty years writing

Netflix is creating a series based on The Witcher, get hype

I feel like this is going to be a disappointment but I can't help but to be excited. What's funny is I was just thinking the other day about whether they'd try and make a few movies about The Witcher series, but a TV series probably makes more sense.

Imagine if the show had a part near the 2nd-act climax where the pacing grinds to a halt as Geralt goes to look for and escort some dwarves, one of which falls asleep repeatedly. What a fun idea for a show or video game :sarcasm:

I mean. Lets be real. The white walkers still haven't crossed the wall in Game of Thrones.

Having not read the books and only playing The Witcher 3, I'm not really sure what to expect. I'm probably Exhibit A for false expectations as I was so heavily invested in the game, but not the backstory of the source material or even the games before TW3.

It'll be interesting to see what the formula for the show will be. You would think a "monster of the week" format would fit, but it's a pretty tired formula and limits you a bit for overarching stories. Pretty sure monsters are far less prevalent in the books anyways though, so maybe "monster of the week" isn't the way to go.

I mean if they are following Geralt's stories from the books there's lots to go off of. It has the political intrigue of GoT.

I'd hope that the political stuff is a major factor. Actually one of my biggest disappointments with TW3 was the fact that the political stuff that was such a huge factor in TW2 was pretty much just background noise. Where the ultimate outcome was just kind of bland and where the only two options for allowing the North to win were either an insane king (who didn't seem so at all in TW1 or TW2) or a renagade spy who wants to kill your friends (Roche, Thaler, Ves). The option to side with the Nilfgaard and make Tameria a protectorate was the easiest choice I've ever had to make in a Witcher game.
