I usually don't laugh at my own jokes or toot my own horn about them, but I did enjoy my DD impersonation posts, with the DD avatar at the top of the posts.

Yeah I don't see where you're putting Bratt in once MarJo comes back

Hall-Hischier-Palmieri
MarJo-Zacha-Grabner
Coleman-Zajac-Maroon
Wood-Boyle-Gibbons

Other than Boyle who we know's not coming out cause of his playoff experience/toughness, and becuase he's the 4C that wins faceoffs, who are you sitting for Bratt? Noesen's picked it up again and he's probably even gonna have to sit, Gibbons has been great. I'm not thrilled with Grabner but they're probably not scratching him either, especially since he's useful on the PK.

You could sit Wood maybe but then you'd just sit him for Noesen, not Bratt and put Gibbons at LW.
man there's no possible reasoning for Noesen to sit unless he really starts to suck. especially when it comes to playoffs -- he works well with zajac/coleman in a shutdown role and still contributes offensively. But in the end someone else is probably going to get hurt.

My ideal lines w/o Bratt:
Hall-Hischier-Palmieri
MoJo-Zacha-Maroon
Grabner-Zajac-Noesen
Wood-Coleman-Gibbons

With Bratt
Hall-Hischier-Bratt
MoJo-Zacha-Palmieri
Maroon-Zajac-Noesen
Wood/Grabner-Coleman-Gibbons

Not saying Boyle is bad or anything as he's contributed a lot but certain guys shouldn't be sitting the way they are playing

Didn’t he coach the Oakland Raiders?

That was the OTHER John Madden.

I will be so disappointed for Bratt if he's relegated to removing splinters out of his butt in the postseason. I don't think that would do much for his development, imo.

Yep. It's the same CLOWN.

Man those were some dark days as a wrestling fan who grew up on WCW. Anybody listen to Schiavone's podcast? It's kind of fun listening to him wonder what the hell they were thinking with some of the stupid stuff they did.

but boyle has post season reps and is ok in the circle.

cant sit him. plus he has cancer. wed look silly sitting him. its not like we have tons of people who can play center. sitting boyle is the only way we see bratt.

Can't tell if sarcastic or not.

But it would make absolutely no sense to just sit Bratt for the playoffs where him PLAYING in that type of environment is more important than Boyle getting reps because he has the experience(and feel-good story). At some point, you need to think about not just the present but the future as well. Who knows what happens next season? If the Devils make it(and it looks like it's shaping up to be that way), I truly hope Hynes gives Bratt the opportunity.

Good god

What the hell happened to any of those 3 guys? I haven't seen Tony Schiavone in years. I don't think he made the jump to WWE after they bought out WCW. Was Borash on TNA? I really didn't get into TNA much. I remember Schiavone in WWF when I was in like 6th or 7th grade. I figured most people don't remember his WWF stint.

completely sarcastic.

we have tried hayes, stafford, boyle, maroon for a big guy. we have maroon producing so the other three are expendable at this point. we really dont need more than one. we have people who can play center who arent. give boyle a rest and use him when we need him. he looks gassed these days.

I remember him posting a picture of himself on a boat or on the beach (I forgot exactly) on vacation and he actually looked pretty good with his shirt off. He didn't have much belly fat or a big gut like many retired guys.

I still laugh at Gomer's Players Tribune article or wherever I read it, where he'd be in the showers as a rookie and Dano would look at himself in the mirror and say ''How can a guy this old be in such good shape and look so good!'' to himself or something like that! He was only 35 then! It's not like he was old! And Gomer talking about how they called him king!

Those tribune articles are such a breath of fresh air. They are all good reads.

That’s what makes them special. Its a lot more personal coming from the players themselves.
Definitely

I've just felt a little sad for some of them after reading stuff. I even felt bad for Cam Ward after reading his. I think his son is deaf and they wanted to stay in Raleigh because the doctors and care he was receiving. And I think I even remember him saying his son was making fun of the way he was playing in goal and when he plays bad, which was cute haha.

I love how Hall Nico and Coleman have been sniping in a lot of their goals this season. Besides Palms we were missing shooters, not anymore.

From wikipedia :

Baseball

Schiavone now is in the rare position of being the morning sports anchor for both WDUN in Gainesville and WSB-AM in Atlanta simultaneously, even though the two stations have different owners (WDUN has a partnership with Cox Communications, which owns WSB-TV and WSB-AM.) Schiavone also has done morning sports reports for Cox sister stations WHIO AM/FM in Dayton, Ohio. Additionally, Schiavone is a writer for the Georgia Bulldogs Radio Network and produced the Best of the Bulldogs, which won the AP Award for Best Sports Program in 2004.[9]
After a few years of work with the Braves system including pre-game and post-game radio coverage, and also spot duty as an official scorer for games, Schiavone returned to play-by-play duties on radio when the Gwinnett Braves began their first season in Lawrenceville, Georgia as Atlanta's AAA-level affiliate for the 2009–10 season.
Football

Along with being a writer for the Georgia Bulldogs Radio Network, Schiavone also works one of the post game talk shows on the Georgia Bulldogs Radio Network for home and away games alongside former University of Georgia quarterback David Greene.[10]
