Dumb and Dumba? I’m just kidding, but a few mistakes could makes this deadline nickname come true. Dumba in particular seems to always get suspending in the playoffs for cross-checking someone in the face. Last year it was Pavelski. At this point, I just hope we make it to the playoffs this season

I am guessing he pairs up with DeHann/Fleury. Which is ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Well we have 4 RHD now.

Doing some quick research, and some of Dumbas best and most effective offense has come on the left side.

Considering what JBB said at his presser, that he can't "replace Sergachev", I'm willing to wager this is what we'll see.

Hedman-Raddysh
Dumba-Cernak
Fleury-Perbix

Honestly this is perfect.

Edit: Oh they're sending Lilleberg down. OK...but I want CDH scratched every night

Lilliberg got sent down, unless he is recalled it’s likely to be Fleury

Neither trade makes sense. Team is clearly in need of a massive retool and dating rentals, especially Duclair does not make this team better.

I’m not giving up hope Hanifin is here in July.

Perfect? Interesting use of the term.

I looked at Vegas’s cap situation and they can easily make Hanifin work even after acquiring Hertl. $14M in cap space with only a few players to sign. They get a lot of help from expiring contracts.

Yeah, but they still have to replace those expiring contracts as well. I'm sure if Hanifin decides to stay in Vegas then they'll make it work, but they, like many other teams, will be very top heavy and lacking depth in places.

They have a lot of quality depth signed at good rates for the next two years but they’ll start to feel the pinch when everyone is up for an extension. Their time is coming, all the more reason to go all-in now. 2026 looks rough for them.

Well, Hanifin hasn't signed yet, and it was reported that Tampa was where he wants to play(there was even one report that his agent leaked to teams he was only going to sign an ext with Tampa), so we can only hope that remains the case.

I'm skeptical of this. There still has been no reasons given why he so desperately wants to play in Tampa. There's been no connection

That’s definitely the hope.

When one Insider reports it, maybe not. But when multiple solid insiders report, well.where there's smoke....

I don't want to give anyone 8 years, but is it possible to trade for Hanifin at the draft and extend him the full length?

Wish we got taresenko ,Zucker , mantha, and never traded for Jeannot. We wouldn't have a top 6 or bottom 6 problem. If we traded for duclsir why not sign him last off-season instead of sheary. 2 million in Florida is more than 3 million in California when you factor in cost of living high taxes, and quality of life.

There's also very little chance any of Cirelli, Serg or Cernak are getting moved at the draft. They are pretty clearly viewed as part of the core, and all are in their primes. Getting rid of any of them to keep Stamkos on a bloated deal is horrible asset management.
Depends on what Stamkos would sign for, but Cirelli, Serg, and Cernak are already on bloated deals. If Stamkos can do something reasonable the better asset management would be to dump one of the others.

When Hanifin got traded there was immediate talk of an extension being worked on as well.

Feels like they went after Hertl becausse Hanifin didn't extend.

Probably just wishful thinking but every day he goes unsigned just increases our chances of snagging

him in the summer.

They gave up trying to re-sign him after like two days?

They wojld need to trade for his rights before the free agency period started, then yes, they can offer the 8th year I believe.

@JTBF81 Fabbro gets 1 year extension

Oh well, neither the rfa Fabbro nor the ufa Carrier was moved. The way Nashville has been playing(9-0-1 last 10), I'm not surprised they were kept.

They will soon not be on bloated deals with the cap rising as it will be, and has been seen, JBB doesn't get rid of younger core pieces at the expense of older vets(especially ones that are declining). If Stamkos takes what they can offer and still.address other needs, great, he cam ve a good pp specialist and a 3rd liner. If not, he can get the bag elsewhere.
