One little thing I've noticed about Zacha since his return to the lineup is that he's been really good in the circle. 73% tonight with some key victories including a couple vs Seguin. Every aspect of his game seems to be improving

For some reason after tonight's win I'm even more disappointed with the Montreal loss.

Don't be. They should have won last night too but just didn't capitalize on their chances, especially in the 2nd

3 points out of 4 and 5 out of 6 overall this week is sexy sexy

That Coleman - Zajac - Gibbons line has looked incredible. Zajac always does better with an energetic grinder type player on his line, Coleman is a perfect fit in that regard. They should stay together going forward as a bottom six shutdown line for sure. When we're healthy i'd like to see:

Hall - Hischier - Bratt
Johansson - Zacha - Palmieri
Coleman - Zajac - Gibbons
Wood - Boyle - Noesen
Stafford & Hayes as extra(s).

Hopefully Zacha can build on his last couple of performances and establish himself as a viable option at #2C.
Ideally with a healthy lineup we will be able to roll 4 lines fairly evenly and adjust ice times as needed for game situations.

If he can develop a similar game to that of Zajac, it would be amazing. He's already good defensively and has the potential to be great in time. Hopefully the points start to come as the confidence grows

I don’t do the “when we are healthy” crap, because it never happens... buuuuut, not matter what they should keep Zajac at that 3C with players like Coleman and Gibbons. That even shocks me as I wanted both wingers to stay on the 4th line to be dominant there but they have shown that they have the makings of a shut down line while the 2 still have speed to not make our bottom 6 feel too slow.

Absolutely huge win. To take 3 out of 4 in back to back nights with the injuries we have, I'll take that every damn day.

The one coaching change I would make with him is I would tell him that if he has the puck on his stick above the goal line that he is to fire away. And put him on the PP in a one timer set up roll... this kid has a rocket that we never see.

No coincidence Boyle went from 6 points in 09-10, to 35 points in 10-11.

Ooooh I love this, thanks for sharing. I'm a huge fan of how figure skaters can advance hockey skaters, learned so much from how figure skaters can break down the physics of skating.

I couldn't stand Boyle for years but I ****ing love this guy. Great player and a great man.

Prior to him joining the Devils(and even for the first few games), I couldn't stand him because I always associated him with the Rags.

But over time(and it helped that he has been playing extremely well), the stench of Rags-Blue along with the Most Overrated Arena has completely vanished and in its place : THE DEVILS!! THE DEVILS!!!

:D
