If anyone can help. Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times, it's a huge thread!
I used to play a long time ago. I haven't laced 'em up in quite a while. I need new skates. I want something decent but I'll only use them probably 10 times per Winter or so. I'd still like them to last. Mostly I'll be skating for fun with my gf at a local outdoor lake or rink we can walk to, and with some friends occasionally in another town. May play a pickup game here and there as they tend to happen pretty frequently and I can't resist. Not gonna join a league of any sort and play regularly though.
Specifically I have flat feet. Younger it wasn't a big issue, but it is more now. I never got orthotics or arch support, or anything adjusted for me and I won't start now. I just adapted and found shoes that worked for me. Are there any skates that would fit that? For people who have a tendency to... not sure how to say this right, but bow inwards? Since I have less support naturally. I can buy some standard arch supports if needed but I'd prefer not to. I like to find shoes that fit me well on their own and I'd like to do the same with skates, ideally.
Either way, regardless of that, I would still love advice for a decent pair I can keep for years, medium range in price, leisure but capable of some spirited play. Will be buying new in Canada.
Thanks!
