Is Chabot no longer a prospect? Ottawa has a decent stock pile of good prospects coming as does a lot of teams.

1. Chabot - LD - top pairing defenceman
2. Brown - 1st or 2nd line C/LW
3. White - 2nd or 3rd line C/RW
4. Batherson - 2nd or 3rd line RW/C
5. Chlapik - 2nd or 3rd line LW/C
6. Formenton - 2nd or 3rd line LW
7. Jaros - RD - 2nd or 3rd pair defenceman
8. Hogberg - potential #1 goalie
9. Harpur - LD/RD - 2nd or 3rd pair defenceman
10. Paul - 3rd or 4th line LW
11. Gagne - 3rd or 4th line RW
12. Perron - 2nd or 3rd line LW
13. Kelly - 2nd or 3rd line LW
14. Lajoie - LD - 2nd or 3rd pair defenceman
15. Englund - LD - 3rd pair defenceman
16. Wollanin - LD - 2nd or 3rd pair defenceman
17. Nurmi - 3rd or 4th line RW/LW
18. McCormick - 4th line LW/C

My list would be very similar. The only exception for me would be Lajoie. I've been a fan since I saw him live in the WHL a few times. Having watched both players play I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that Lajoie could follow a similar trajectory to TJ Brodie. Likely won't reach quite the offensive totals but I could see him being that kind of player (as his absolute ceiling). I'd have him just slightly behind Jaros.

Agreed, he should definitely crack the top 10.

Of course Chabot is still a prospect. Not garanteed he will graduate this season. I think Claesson is the only one that has graduated so far. My list anyway :

1- Chabot
2- Brown
3- Batherson
4- Chlapik
5- White
6- Formenton
7- Jaros
8- Harpur
9- Gagne
10- Perron
11- Hogberg
12- Lajoie
13- Paul
14- Wolanin
15- Englund
16- Kelly
17- Nurmi
18- McCormick

Then Hollett, Daccord, Gendron, etc

No surprise but Brown made the USA team ... I hope he brings everything he has every game and shows the world what he can do
U.S. finalizes roster for World Junior Championship

good article on Brown Senators prospect Logan Brown wants to dominate world juniors | CBC Sports
"Windsor Spitfires goalie Michael DiPietro marvels at a "completely different" Logan Brown this season. His attention to detail. His improved shot. His game preparation."

"Last year, we had a lot of high-end players," Letowski added. "There were some nights when [Brown] would be a little quiet, whereas now it's not happening. Obviously, his role has increased and he's playing more minutes, but he's dominant most nights. I don't know if you could say that last year."

What an impressive game from Chlapik. I hadn't realized he'd worked on his skating so much. The IQ, hands, and vision were always there. But now that he is reasonably fast I have much greater faith in his abilities to become a scoring line player in the NHL.

Some none world juniors prospect highlights:

I'm interested to hear your thoughts on Hollett. I find evaluating CHL goalies is pretty difficult for the most part. His stats are pretty average on a team that allows a lot of goals against for a pretty average team.

Hollett is big. That's a nice asset for a goalie. He needs to work on his positioning and angles. Here is a quote from Scott Wheeler just today:

"Hollett has age and size (6-foot-5) on his size and he was such a strong prospect in Triple-A that the Regina Pats took him 13th overall as the second-highest drafted goalie in the 2014 Bantam draft. This year, in his first as a starter in the WHL, Hollett is 11th in save percentage (.901) among the league's 36 goalies who've played more than 10 games. If he can put it altogether (he's athletic, but he needs build on his fundamentals), he might be something. There's still a long road ahead, though."

Some highlights from Markus Nurmi so far today:

Summers looks really good. He was known for being a strong hitter who has the smarts to be in the best position defensively. He's since become better offensively and is now the top Dman for Clarkson. He was viewed as their #2 or #3 previously. Clarkson resumes play after this weekend coming up, I think.

Isn't Clarkson the same school Boro went to?

I don't know, but it looks to be true based off of his Elite Prospects page. Huh.

Looks like he didn't produce much offense, but was named team captain in his final season.

Neat!
