if mr. paul keeps it going and chiasson keeps looking good dallas might start regretting the trade in a couple years. not to mention the player we get with the 2nd round pick. not sure about guptill, but no pressure. the trade is probably good without him.
I don't think so. They have a number of good young wingers and there just wasn't really room for Chiasson and Paul could fall victim to the same treatment. Hard to play those guys over the likes of Ritchie and Nichuskin. Chiasson wouldn't help them much from the 4th line again. They need a good 2nd line C much worse. If Spezza re signs, no way they regret that. They went from being a playoff threat to only being one piece away from legit contender status. Jim Nill knows what he's doing.
Just saw some highlights. Paul has a nose for the net. And lindberg can skate. Like really skate.
ya lindberg is similar to greening
Let's put it this way, the trade looked horrible at first, not even getting a first rounder, prospects we didn't know about and a rookie who had a sensational start but didn't keep up for the rest of the season.
Nick Paul's stock has risen a whole lot since the trade. This makes the trade look a lot better now than it looked 2 months ago. Guptill will probably never play in the NHL but if Paul can continue his devellopement like he's doing, we should have a fine prospect coming to camp next year. I really like Chiasson and now with Paul, it eases the pain a little bit..
Spezza now has 7 point in 5 games, thanks to a 4 point night. He's still a -2..
Paul reminds me a lot of Stone. Not as skilled offensively but they play a similar game.
Not very similar, whatsoever.
Stone was a play-making winger with Size, who had to overcome skating deficiencies.
Paul is a rugged, Defensive forward with size who over the last 10 months has show great offensive ability and great skating. He can play all 3 forward positions, but the Sens seem to like him at Center. He is not a playmaker, but a North-South scorer.

Nick Paul = Dubinsky potential?
