I'd hardly call an 18-year old defensive defenseman playin a regular shift in Sweden's highest league as a "bust".

The fact that he's even in the SHL to begin with at his age, and not the Elitserein, is huge.

Exactly. Guys normally don't play in the SHL that young. He's already way ahead of his progression simply by being in that league.

Does anyone else here think that "elitserein" is the coolest name to ever have for a hockey league. I would never go to the SHL just to tell people I play in the elitserein

Shane Eiserman scored a goal for New Hampshire last night, so I guess he's off the bust list :p:

Quentin Shore had 1 goal and 1 assist for Denver last night in his first game of the season.

Good to see Quentin Gretzky is off to a nice start

Lindberg had a pair of assists in a 6-4 win and was named the games first star last night.

Harpur got another helper, keeping up his PPG pace after 7 games.

:biglaugh: Gotta love how our defensive defenceman drafted in the second round not putting up a lot of points, along with NCAA freshman like Summers and Eiserman not scoring in their first 1 or 2 games, suddenly makes them appear to be "busts."

The only one I'm mildly concerned about is Gendron, as he's got only 2 points in 9 games now and was said to be an elite skater and more offensively oriented IIRC. Even then, new league, leaving high school, and in a new country, that can have an impact on a kid. And perhaps he's focusing on the defensive side of his game, or veterans are getting more minutes. We don't know.

But ya, "busts." Okay :sarcasm:

...or were you being sarcastic?

Pretty sure he was being facetious... I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'

I mean it's X, he's one of the most positive posters on this board, lets use our brains here! ;)

It was a joke, obviously.

And you know what? I'm not really a positive person in real life, I'd say I'm as even keeled as you could find, never too high, never too low. But what's funny is that I'm apparently considered one of the most positive posters around here, lolz.

That's because being even keeled on hf is basically being Tony Robbins.

If a game doesn't make you consider ending it then your among the more positive people around.
