Otto Somppi left off Finland's preliminary roster. Would have been one of the oldest players with a January birthday.

Currently has 11 goals, 29 points in 21 games for Halifax.

Adam Erne with a hat trick, Matthew Spencer with his first pro goal. Crunch stay rolling.

That's 5 goals in Erne's last 3 games.

Any Crunch fans with some input? Is it just a numbers/luck thing or has he dramatically improved from the reports we were getting earlier in the year?

Anyone think that it might be possible that some of the AHL guys got a bit burnt out to start the season? The Bolts said they had their hardest, most demanding training camp yet. Then Erne and some of the others don't make the team, and then had to head directly to Syracuse to go through yet another grueling training camp all over again, back-to-back.
Plus some, like Erne, were probably a bit pissed off/disappointed, so it led to a bad start. Now they're physically and mentally caught up and now they're getting back to business.

Peca, if I remember correctly was also disappointing in the A after a very strong camp in TB.

Short offseason for the Crunch + hard camp = maybe. Also, a lot of roster turnover takes awhile to gel. Could be a few things.

Also - some of it could be on Dominigue.

After their terrible start, Crunch fans can only hope Peca and Erne keep the momentum going. The team seems to be on a roll since the trade with the 'Yotes, actually playing as a team and not individuals. The management changed the "Goal Song" as well, and the team has been rolling since. Actual crowd numbers are still low, but that is the usual norm here until after the first of the year. As of right now, the season has turned around and the on ice performance is once again entertaining. Yan will be missed, but that opens the door for a player such as Loney to step up and get his chance.

Probably the steadiest defenseman for the Crunch this season. Not flashy in either end, but gets the job done and done correctly. One of the few Crunch players who have been ready for a call up to Tampa from first game of the season.
