I wouldn't be adverse to Tyutin on a 1 year deal at $2 if Staal is dealt, since they have McD, Staal, Skjei and Holden on the left currently.

McD
Skjei
Tyutin
Holden

Depth on the left side.

They need some help on the right though .

The tax break nonsense is so overblown! It accounts for home games ONLY!

A rough breakdown for Stamkos, 8y 8.5m AAV:

Playing in Tampa:
$68m = 892k per game, no tax

$829 x 45 = $37.31m
$500 x 37 = $18.53m
______________________
Total of 55.8m

Playing in New York:
$829 x 4 = $3.31m
$500 x 78 = $39.06m
______________________
Total of 42.4m

That is a loss of $14.4m, 1.675m a year.

Just in case people aren't entirely clear about Subban's donation to the children's hospital

"The $10 million is a combination of a personal donation from Subban — in the seven-figure range — as well as funds from the P.K. Subban Foundation and fundraising activities using his name and brand over the next seven years."

So not $10M from him at all, but a charity he set up. Nearly a million from him and then funded by donations from other people.
