As for the three year commitment, that is all it is. It's not a legal binding contract, I know people who left after the first year!!!!!

I know people that tried to get out of this year and they were told they would be taken to court. They didn't pursue it and the office kindly setup a payment plan for them.

Former Frontenac Corey Pawley would have made a great addition to the team. Does not have the size Butler is looking for, but a very good offensive player.
He currently is tearing it up for the Caledonia Corvairs in the GOJHL . He is scoring leader right now. He has 12 games with 15 goals, 20 assists for 35 pts.
Come on Butler find someone like this guy to add to the Battalions.

Pawley would be an overage who's best ohl season was 39 pts. If he played here, that would have been a 20 point season in this defence first, dump it in or you're benched, suck the offensive skill out of you Battalion coached team. We have those players already here. At 5' 7", wouldn't have happened....even the girls in the front office have to be 6' tall to work here.

Kyle Wood participated in this afternoon's workout wearing the red (no contact) shirt. Don't know if he has been out there before, but he looked decent and was carrying and passing the puck. Hopefully he might be able to return in the next week or two.

YES we know , they would rather have 6' 3 GUYS who are only good for about 10 pts in a season..... Maybe put some of the office girls in the line up.

Bratina should have had the hat trick against Sarnia, he had another on Monday...he's given all the freedom in the world...He also sat up Amadio for two gimmies and he hit the post and missed the net...he couldn't hit a cow's ass with a snow shovel...Last year in McKenzie's sophmore year he couldn't put a puck in a soccer net, all kinds of chances....These are Butler's fault?

Reading this you'd swear we were the Sudbury Wolves. We have won 3 in a row. Wood and Lyle due back soon. With Wood back there we will have amongst the best D in the league paired with one of the top goalies. Bratina has stepped up big time, Amadio playing very well, just not scoring. 2nd line will get going soon enough and Kislinger on the 3rd looks great.
Not sure why you guys are so ho hum. We're not going to win the east but we are a good competitive team that is very young.

Bratina will have to carry the team. I doubt Hargrave will have an impact on the team.

I hope you mean Kyle Wood himself is one of the league's best. Because there's no way in hell North Bay has one of the best D corps. We have two rookies in our top six and a number of guys with little to no hockey sense playing back there.

Pawley was a healthy scratch in game 4 of last year's opening round vs the Battalion so he can't be that good. Besides, he's tearing up the GOJHL. There's a big difference. Pass....

Look for things to happen now that forwards Sherman (surgery) and Gomes (has left the team) have left the team shorthanded. When Wood, and Lyle return from injuries, there will be 9 dmen. 2nd round pick Ball still sidelined also. Baird is still not living up to expectations out there, pity Mckenzie hearing grief about his play when saddled with weak wingers. Potts and Kislinger continue to develope nicely and rookie Dineen looking great out there.

Calvin Gomes and Owen Green both are no longer listed on the battalion roster. Does anybody know what happened there?

Thank you for the Wood update, I'm especially interested in hearing how his return is progressing. It's not easy to find information.

And that decision did not turn out well for the Front's did it. They lost that 4th game and was a sweep by the Battalions. That's what happens when you mess with a teams dynamics. Remember MacFarland pulling the bonehead move of sitting and resting his best players when they were on a winning streak finally.
Very bad decision, this sent the Fronts into a major losing slump.

Go Battalions

All I can say is. Where do you start with this team ? Veterans only play when they feel like it and the rookies don't have enough experience yet to step in. Don't know what he'll get for Kosacs. Could maybe throw in Baird with him and get a half decent foward.
Sure wish he'd play Kment soon.

Don't even know why he plays Baird on the PP. Does nothing but skate around.

I always hear coach Butler saying he needs more from McKenzie and Poirier. Why does he never complain or ask for more from Baird?? If the young guys skated all over the place and were never in position they would sit the bench for the rest of the game. If you are a scorer, score. If you are a checker, check. If you are a hitter, hit......I just don't see where Baird fits in!
