That little Finnish dude? Around here, we call him Staal's wingman.

No seriously, he and Zucker are quite a duo

Zucker is a shooter first and foremost, now playing with BOTH of the two best offensive players on the team, both of which are very good playmakers...

All 3 are benefiting from each other equally at this point.

Mikael Granlund - a historical man, now a day. Anyway and anyhow in Finland. Because never ever in the history of NHL have six Finland players reached 60 points or more!

'ard rock hallelujah and Amen to that!:

... and believe it or not a former Minnesota-chap like Erik Haula (28+25)! can soon join that gang too!

Oh boy, and how I wish the Olympics were played the proper way this year around...

I don't know if this was mentioned anywhere else, but today Granlund was named the captain of team Finland in the upcoming World Championships.

I haven't seen anything about any Wild players making WC rosters.

Most underrated player in league? Sportsnet ranks 100 best players in NHL, "It’s about who’s the best right now."

MG has 28th most points, 18th best+/- in league the past two seasons. Yet can't crack this list.
Skaters just behind him in points: Getzlaf 48th, Pavelski 61th, Laine 27th, Matthews 16th, Marner 54th...even the -22 Vincent Trocheck from a team that has made playoffs around once in the last few decades is number 82.

Oh right, some small guy, plays for Minnesota...

Btw Hello forums, one more guy from Finland here.

A top 100 list without Granlund is a crap list.

Did any other Wild players make the list other than Suter? You could argue Granlund is our next best player.

"Before Bruce Boudreau, Granlund was seeing around 60% offensive zone starts. In two seasons since, it‘s been around 40%. Imagine the additional even-strength points he would have if the team took more faceoffs in the offensive zone and Granlund was out there for them. He might be stuck as a 70-80 point player under Boudreau when in fact he could be a 90-point guy under another system."

I also would like to point out: We start a LOT in our own zone. So this also should be taken into affect when thinking about this.

His ZS% was 43.. heavily starts in defensive zone rather then offensive.

Wild player problem, or Coach?
