Kucherov was on pace for 94 points with a significantly larger sample size and didn't have Stamkos, he didn't even have a 60 point linemate like Matthews does. what's your next excuse?
No mention of defense? Figures.Kucherov was on pace for 94 points with a significantly larger sample size and didn't have Stamkos, he didn't even have a 60 point linemate like Matthews does. what's your next excuse?
Current Matthews is on pace for over a 100 point season while being elite defensively, so I very much disagree with your post.
It’s not an excuse to have a difference of opinion.Kucherov was on pace for 94 points with a significantly larger sample size and didn't have Stamkos, he didn't even have a 60 point linemate like Matthews does. what's your next excuse?
That’s interesting.Matthews is definitely not elite defensively
Auston's easily the better backgammon player, AINECnikita kucherov is currently the better hockey player
Kucherov>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>MatthewsElaborate.
A reasonable adult will provide intelligent reasoning to support their opinions. That’s the ‘discussion’ part of the discussion board.Kucherov>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Matthews
Matthews playing with worse linemates and him being younger is irrelevant what comes to OP's question. As someone already mentioned, Kucherov produced last season with Brayden Point as his center.Matthews is a center, plays a better defensive game, and doesn't play with anyone as good as Stamkos on his line, and is also younger. For these factors I am picking Matthews.
You mean PPG+ Center Brayden Point?Matthews playing with worse linemates and him being younger is irrelevant what comes to OP's question. As someone already mentioned, Kucherov produced last season with Brayden Point as his center.
There's definitely a stronger case to be made that Kucherov is the best player in the world than that he's a product of his lineYou mean PPG+ Center Brayden Point?
But yeah - saying Kucherov is a product of his linemates is patently false.
Nitpicking, but Matthews is on pace for 97ish points.Current Matthews is on pace for over a 100 point season while being elite defensively, so I very much disagree with your post.
I'm very high on Matthews -Elaborate.
Oh no, it’s certainly a strong case. 1 game, right now, it’s hard to pick anyone but Kucherov. One of the greatest hot streaks we’ve seen in a long time..I'm very high on Matthews -
but Kucherov has as much points in his last 48 games as Matthews had in 82 last year!!!
Last 39 games, 1 period Kucherov has 35 goals and 62 points!!!! Making a pretty strong case, no?
Nah, Kucherov is still young.. ill take him now and going forwardtbh I think that'd make it lopsided in Matthews' favor
Kucherov for this poll
Matthews is nowhere near elite defensively, he's not even "very good" he's solid to pretty good. SmhCurrent Matthews is on pace for over a 100 point season while being elite defensively, so I very much disagree with your post.
Matthews is #34 on the Toronto Maple Leafs. Assuming he's healthy, look out for him when the Leafs play tomorrow night, if you decide to watch your first Leafs game everMatthews is nowhere near elite defensively, he's not even "very good" he's solid to pretty good. Smh
