The Admirals will be eliminated from the playoff race tomorrow if they lose and the Rockford and Grand Rapids win (Admirals play Chicago so a loss would give Chicago a win and give them enough points as well.)

I have believed for a week that the Ads would not make the playoffs. When I posted on March 31st that they and the IceHogs had both won 3 games in a row with the Ads 5 points behind, I thought that the handwriting was on the wall. That trend has continued, the Ads magic number is 16, everybody else is around 3. Three more home games to go along with two road games.

I feel badly for you Ads fans but the handwriting was actually on the wall when the Preds traded your 1C and 1D in November. I would hope you can find some solace in the great season the Preds are having and get some vicarious enjoyment out of following the Preds in the playoffs. We definitely appreciate those of you posters who keep us updated on how things are going down on the farm...

Thanks, I don't remember November. Kamenev? The poor guy has only played 10 games since getting traded. You should feel badly for him. Girard was a non factor in Milwaukee. I just think that Nashville is going for taller/larger players. Girard is my size. A Martin St. Louis only comes along once a decade.

Murphy was never the #1 D here either. I do miss Aberg, but that is the nature of minor league hockey. Ramage, Bollig and Grosenick could help the team get back into the playoffs for next season. The Ads went too long with one goalie. Kelleher wasn't a big loss. He is listed as 5'6". His speed was neutralized after about 10 or 12 games, his scoring tapered off.

I enjoyed watching 2 Preds games this week! The Milwaukee newspaper didn't have a story about them winning the division/WC/President's Cup. It was all about the Bucks and the Packers secondary. I was in Indy years ago and the paper had a whole page on hockey on a Sunday. They don't have have an NHL team, just like Milwaukee, yet they covered the sport.

Call up Gaudreau, Carrier and Lindy after the AHL season ends for the SC playoffs.

Next up, a Vezina for Pekka and a Cup for Josi to carry around the ice, followed by Fisher!

I should have clarified that had the Preds not traded them, Kamanev and Girard would have been your 1C and 1D for the season.

He broke his arm in his first game with the Avs so he was out for a long time.

Based on the few games that I saw Girard play, I am not convinced. Kam just needed a little more finish on his game to be an All Star in the AHL.

Your are really fast with the video.

I wasn't an Orpik fan going back to the playoffs in 2003-04 when the Ads beat WBS for the Calder Cup. I didn't like him or Kostopoulos!
i wasn't a fan of either. still don't really like orpik to this day.

maybe it's just me, but i believe you can see where kamenev's arm was actually "broke" at in that video

Yes, his left wrist looks bent. Any time that you can see a deformity, it isn't good.

I am one of the First Aid people at work. We are trained to look over people before you touch them so you don't cause more injury.

Tony Hrkac broke a bone in his wrist in Milwaukee on a similar hit in the slot. His arm was caught in between the two players bodies. I had never heard of the scaphoid bone before it happened. He didn't have surgery, the team doctors just let it heal on its own.

Caps fans don’t even like orpik.

I noticed your avatar. I worked with a Ga Tech PhD as an undergrad with the instrumental specialist for computers in the Chemistry Dept. At my current company, a lady who received her Chem Eng degree from that school worked in my building. Both were excellent at their jobs. Must be one heck of a school! She had the biggest diploma that I ever saw. It was the size of a small window or a large computer screen.

Girard had to go back to Juniors, we never lost him.

Which just shows how terribly assembled this team was. We didn't even plan to have HarryZ back either, can't imagine how awful the season would have been has Florida signed him.

Blow the team up, get a coach who will rest a goalie, and sign some AHL stars since obviously Nashville won't be providing anyone next year. I don't get why we haven't signed more ATO people this season just for a look, since if it was obvious to us that the Ads weren't making the playoffs, was the Front Office really oblivious to that fact?

I agree with replacing Evason. The team never gets any farther then being bounced in the first round of the playoffs.

The Ads tried Valleau for one whole game. I thought that he blended in well, but that was it. Even Bobby Orr might have needed a few games to make a good impression. I never saw the other guy signed at the same time. He must have looked bad in practice. I never saw Phil Lane in his 3 games. Stephen Perfetto had 14 games, Army was here for two stints totaling 22 games, Mingoia for 20 games. They just didn't work out.

I'm saying sign some ATO guys from Juniors/College at season end, not necessarily a re-tread like Valleau or Lane.

We actually could have sent Fiala down to play in tonight's Ads game. I wonder how that would have gone.

... down as the dumbest personnel move in NHL history? I mean, we could send Saros too, might as well risk injury in a meaningless AHL game instead of a meaningless as s NHL game...
