Monster made a lot of big momentum stops tonight, lots of times when we have been going down lately he made that big next save. Really thought he started the third well which helped our confidence problems in that period as they didn't look real good for the start of that period once again.

Sooooo

Sheahan is 67% and 63% in the last 2 games on the draw.

And Glendening is 45% and 46% last 2 games on the draw.

Someone remind me again why Glendening gets called up more than/before Riley again????

Yeah, you make a good point. Also Sheahan doesn't fall all over the ice like Glendening was doing. He must be getting his pro tips from Cleary. :help:

That would be perfect situation. MOD Without Quincey and Weiss (and Cleary/Sammy benched) we would ice the best possible team.

Would have to agree with you there.
Does that mean Helm would be back by then too?

In a perfect world, would like to see something like....

Nyquist-Z-Franzen
Jurco-Datsyuk-Alfredsson
Tatar-Helm-Abdelkader
Miller-Andersson-Bertuzzi

Kronwall-Dekeyser
Ericsson-Smith
Kindl-Lashoff

with Weiss on LTIR, if that gives enough cap space to keep Jurco up.

After seeing Mrazek's pads for the game I somehow hope he gets to play it.

Either way he'll get to use them in the griffin's game but it would be nice if these bad boys were being used in the big game

He's supposed to see a specialist on Friday to see if he needs surgery. If that's the case, I guess its possible he might not have the surgery until after the holidays. Anyone know what the timetable is on recovering from groin surgeries?

Mrazek is going to be a superstar goalie if he puts it together, especially because of his character. The whole hockey world is going to eat that up if he makes it. He could wind up the fourth or fifth most talented but his charisma is going to make him a media darling more than likely. I guess we will see, but this is a lot like putting the Peter Griffin superman logo on his helmet, the kid just has fun with it. Won over Canada during the WJC as well.

jurco had 5 shot attempts with around 10 mins of ice time.

The change in Jurco from about February on of last year has been remarkable. He has really become a confident player, kind of hope he sticks around through the 28th so we can see what a 21st birthday is like after a game with a hockey team on 24/7. But really do love how much he shoots the puck, he hardly did it all before the calendar turned to 2013. He gets better every month, every week and every game he wants to be a star.

If they make that diagnosis, he will be placed on LTIR immediately retroactively. Because that is going to be months so even if they decide to wait on the surgery for a little bit, he will be immediately bumped to LTIR.

I know I'm late to the party here, was busy during the game, so I had to record it and managed to not hear the score.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!! A WIN!!!!

Datsyuk looked possessed tonight. He must have read my pre-game comments when I called him out. This was one of the best games he's played not only this season, but in his career. You can tell he was determined to make a difference in this game and did he ever.

Huge game from Alfie too.

I like winning more than losing :)

Who the **** didn't vote Datsyuk as a star?? Every shift he made a difference. 100% of people should have voted him.

Loved seeing Kronwall out on the ice at the end of the game clapping it up to the fans. The crowd really was great tonight, considering its a weeknight and the team is comprised of a bunch of scrubs playing like they are.

The crowd was loud all night long, and I think it made a major impact during the game. The last game I went to that was as loud as it was tonight was in the Playoff's against Chicago.

Guys, I'm not saying we won because this came in the mail about 45 minutes before the puck drop:

(Haha - thanks, Flashy!)

My Winter Classic Zetterberg jersey made its debut tonight too

I'm telling you, this team has the potential to be pretty good. We're still easily in a playoff spot and most of our guys are returning soon. That losing streak sucked to watch but as long as we're playing well by the end of the season we should be okay.

I think Jurco has looked really, really good. In a few years he's going to be a great top 6 player. Once he grows into his body some more he's going to be a beast.
