What is the use of Hamilton-Kadri-Komarov line?

Can't be a checking line, or a scoring line. :shakehead

#Leafs lines; Lupul-Bozak-Kessel, JVR-Grabo-Kulie, Hamilton-Kadri-Komarov, MacArthur-McClement-Orr, Frattin-Colborne-McLaren.

Mark Masters ‏@markhmasters
Cody Franson is taking part in Leafs practice

well.. let's pray that we don't use those lines tomorrow.

other than the first line... the rest of them suck and it's a complete waste of kadri

Why is Liles on extra? He was on ice for 1 goal against.

In comparison, other D-men:

Phaneuf: 1 goal against
Franson: 1 goal against
Fraser: 1 goal against
Costco: 4 goals against
Gunnar: 1 PP goal against

Gunnar, Liles and Franson were our best defensemen defensively.

I am going to be in full rage mode if either of them is scratched.

If I was Carlyle I would run these lines

Kulimen Bozak Kessel
If the line isn't scoring at least have Kuli to play d and play even hockey

JVR - Kadri - Lupul
They have to dominate and make Boston moves Chara to them to open up Kessel's line

Frattin Grabbo Mac - they have to get some offence going (Grabbo seems to be going so they need Frattin to drive the net)

Komorov - Mclement - Orr/Maclaren/Hamilton

Phaneuf - Gunnar
O'Byrne Liles
Franson - Gardiner (might lose toughness but gets puck moving on the rush)

Liles is the most likely. Is Gardiner over Liles that much of an upgrade?

How can one keep Mark ****ing Fraser in and scratch Liles. The former even took a dumb delay of game penalty.

WTF is up with Carlyle and his love for AHL defensemen. Liles was fine.

I like it. Kuli-Bozak-Kessel had chemistry a few years back now. It was at the end of the season when Bozak played around 37 games or whatever it was.

Real nice second line. And I like the logic behind trying to have Chara move away from Phil and opening things up for him that way.

Would like to see it.

Fight Fire with Water - Dangle

The bruins are tougher, end of story. We need to score goals and let them goon all they want, those 3 Pairings all have mobility and puck movers.

Why don't people wait until game time tomorrow night to see see who really plays and what lines and pairings Carlyle actually uses instead of over-analyzing practice combos that may or may not be what he goes with?

I'd go with

Phaneuf - Liles
O'Byrne - Gardiner
Franson - Fraser

Liles should not be sitting tomorrow. I hope he doesn't.

He should not be sitting. I would rather see Liles and Gardiner both in. The way the Habs dominated the Bruins this year was with speed and puck movement.

Gardiner and Liles on a different pair can skate the puck out of danger and get the counterattack going.
