Funny, that all was Wild Bill in year one. Since PDB messed with him and put him with new linemates before finally moving back he's lost a lot of that.
No year one Wild Bill was a statistical anomaly riding an unsustainable shooting percentage. PDB did not "ruin" Karlsson. If you want to claim that then where was 40 goal Karlsson with Gallant after year one?
Karlsson hasn't lost anything other than the horseshoe that was lodged in his backside that first year. He's one of the top two way centers in the league and is on a steal of a contract for what he brings.
In fact his even strength production rate, excluding the year he shot 23%, is remarkably consistent, no matter the coach. The miniscule decline in Karlsson's production directly correlates with the powerplay struggles.
